Storm Recovery Update: The footers are poured for Oceanfront Cottage #8's new stilts! They are pinned to the ledge with rebar. It's hard to believe that it's been nearly a year since the Jan 10 storm hit this coast. May Mother Nature have mercy on us this winter. 🙏

Happenings on the Hill: Holiday Concert this Sunday!

Oceanfront Cottage awaits patiently perched on beams as the area is prepped for pouring the 12' concrete piers that it will sit on. This little cottage has been through quite an adventure this year, starting with surfing on an enormous wave in the Jan 10 storm, then undergoing repairs before accommodating summer visitors, and now bringing it up to code by moving it the required distance back from the water and raising it above the flood zone. We look forward to giving it a rest once this is all over in the spring! Thanks to everyone who's worked so hard to save #8 and give it a more secure future!

It features lots of activities in the area including Pemaquid Beach, Damariscotta's Alewife Festival in May, and the Damariscotta Pumpkinfest & Regatta in Oct as well as other sites and festivals state-wide. Holiday Happenings: Yesterday Santa paid a visit at Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. . . in a helicopter!! You should've seen the smile on our boy's face. ❤️ The fun was topped off with a candy cane from Santa and some hot chocolate--what a treat!
Thanks so much to Bristol Bristol, Maine Fire and Rescue and Bristol Parks and Recreation - Maine for organizing this fun event for all the kiddos!!
