In 2006, George Rodrigue created the label for that yearβs vintage of Amuse Bouche wine. The makers of Amuse Bouche, a Napa Valley red wine, Heidi Barrett and John Schwartz, wanted to compliment their limited edition vintage with a limited edition work of art.
Rodrigueβs work titled Guess Whoβs Coming to Dinner became the label for the wine and a limited edition lithograph. The lithograph was printed on high-quality rag paper in Paris, France, by a team of skilled artisans specializing in this traditional printmaking process.
Rodrigueβs trademark sense of humor is displayed in Guess Whoβs Coming to Dinner. The dinner guest is the Blue Dog, seated in a Windsor dining chair before a pairing of food and wine. Hanging in the dining room, just above the Blue Dog, is what we can assume is one of Rodrigueβs landscape paintings.
