CARNIVAL IN TORONTO 2022!!!

The 2022 Toronto Canada Caribana Weekend will take place on Thursday, July 28 – Monday, August 1st, 2022.

The Toronto Caribbean Carnival o the Caribbean Festival Toronto, has been an annual event in the city of Toronto ever since it first began five decades ago in 1957. The carnival was originally three days but over the years grew into a three-week festival.

It was created as a tribute to the Canadian Caribbean community in attempt for Canada to present itself as a multi-cultural nation and be a symbol of racial harmony for Canada. The Canadian Government invited the Afro-Caribbean community to participate in the carnival celebrations. Thus, Carnival in Canada is a multicultural festival which is highly recommended to visit.

There are loads of events and activities that occur over the four weeks of the Toronto Caribbean Carnival, but the absolute highlight of the celebrations is the Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grande Parade.

J'vae Travels Awaits is based out of New Orleans, LA sooooooooo we always have to represent the city's smallest best unknown gems.

Today's gem is Nola Mia Gelato Cafe! New Orleans has cultures that mix of Spaniard, Italian, German and, of course, French Creole/Cajun flavors. Here at Nola Mia's you get to taste authentic Sicilian flavors of Ice Cream, sandwiches and (Our personal favorite) PIZZA! Nothing like real authentic Sicilian pizza! After taste testing the homemade ice cream, we ordered the Sicilian style pizza made by the Sicilian owner himself! And the taste...Picture this...Sicily...1945!

Another place in New Orleans that deserves more credit bigger than the building it is in!!!

When you in town ask your Uber or Lyft to bring you here. About 10 minutes outside the French Quarter!
