Dining & snacking on a Disney Cruise is obviously one of the best parts. The Disney Fantasy did not disappoint! Options for eating are as follows:
š“CABANAS is the buffet open for breakfast & lunch
š“FLOāS CAFE is a quick service located on the pool deck that serves sandwiches, salads, pizza, chicken tenders, etcā¦& our favorite French fries!!
š“ENCHANTED GARDEN, ROYAL COURT & ANIMATORS PALATE are your rotational dining rooms. On a Disney Cruise Line ship you rotate between dining rooms every night but with your same amazing wait staff.
š“ PALO & REMY are adult only dining rooms that serve absolutely amazing cuisine! These are not included in your sailing fee & are an additional cost
š¦ SWEET ON YOU is a sweet shop with ice cream, gelato, desserts & candy. Most of the things in here are also an additional cost. But it was literally the BEST ice cream & gelato I have ever had, & that includes my trip to Italy!
š¦ EYE SCREAM is your unlimited, all you care to eat ice cream bar. Ice cream flavors rotate almost daily.
āļø VISTA CAFE & COFFEE COVE are your coffee shops. The coffees are an additional cost but the desserts are included. They also have a coffee addict card where after your 5th coffee, your next is free.
š³ļø The 6 ships in the Disney Fleet have some of these same places, but also vary. Every ship has some rotational dining places exclusive to that ship only. But the types of places are pretty much constant on every ship.
Character interactions on a Disney Cruise Line sailing is unlike any other! Itās a similar vibe as Disneyland where you will frequently catch characters just roaming around the ship, with no designated meeting areas or times. They will chat with you, hold your hand and walk with you while you talk or even have a little dance with you. But donāt worry, if you like a schedule you will be able to check the DCL Navigator app to see when & where your favorite characters will be meeting during the day & with the photographers to take your pictures. Characters also are often found in the kids clubs participating in some fun activities with the kids. Sometimes you may even be lucky enough to meet a performer from one of your favorite Broadway style shows on the ship!
Letās talk about Port Canaveral! I have sailed out of & in to San Juan, Galveston & New Orleans with Disney Cruise Line & Canaveral is by far the most efficient, seamless & quickest boarding & disembarking I have ever experienced. Of course this is mainly due to the fact that Disney Cruise Line has their own established structure located at this port. The whole experience, from the time our resort shuttle dropped us & our luggage off to the time we boarded the ship & our family was announced in the lobby was under 30 minutes.
I usually choose which sailing I want to book for myself based on the itinerary, Castaway Cay is a must & now Lookout Cay will be on there. But now sailing in & out of Port Canaveral will be on that list too!

8 years ago today was my sonās first trip to Walt Disney World! In a few months he will be 9 years old & after many many trips to Disney Parks with him, the first one will always be one of my absolute favorites!
People always ask, āare babies too young to enjoy Disney? Should I wait until they are older?ā and I always answer āabsolutely not!ā
When he was 10 months old on his first trip, my husband and I, both already Disney loving adults, had the most magical time enjoying and experiencing everything through his eyes! It was a trip unlike any others that we had experienced. Even now, 8 years later, every trip with our son is a whole new experience!

After flying to San Juan, Puerto Rico to embark on the Disney Wonder, 4 years ago today in 2020, I was blessed to be on the Wonder when it docked at the for the first time, to begin its brand new Port of New Orleans itinerary.
Then this time last year in 2023, we embarked on the Disney Magic out of the Port of New Orleans.
The New Orleans itinerary generally sails out of New Orleans, early in the year, usually coinciding with Mardi Gras. If you live in or around New Orleans, it is a super easy Port for you to cruise out of. It also helps save money on your trip by not having to fly, drive or book a hotel before or after your sailing. Even if you live close to Louisiana, the Port of New Orleans can be a convenient port for anyone along the Gulf Coast.

One of the greatest ways I hear to celebrate the magic of Disney is with grandchildren. Once my son was born my parents rediscovered their love for Disney & the magic it brings to both kids & adults. Their favorite Disney Vacations are the Disney Cruise Line, they already have their 4th cruise booked with Little Sammy, & Walt Disney World at Christmas time.
Even for grandparents, the magic of Disney brings out the child at heart. We are blessed to have them! To all the special grandparents out there, enjoy your magical day today! We love you!

The tickets allow early entry in to the park, we can get in to California Adventure at 3pm & party ends at 11pm. This much time gives you pretty much half a day in the park without a general park ticket.
Even if you arenāt doing the parks you can always get Oogie Boogie, Mickeyās Not So Scary Halloween or Very Merry Christmas Party tickets an enjoy and evening in California Adventure or Magic Kingdom & enjoy the Holiday extras of the event.

A memory from 4 years ago today. It was the beginning of Covid Lockdown & I was now a homeschool teacher for my PreK 4 son. I used to teach him letter by using Disney characters when he was an infantā¦.apparently it sunk in.
Finally hung our Figment Magic Band reader! Now Sammyās bedside lamp turns on & off with a little bit of magic!
If you are traveling to DisneyWorld soon with a graduate, book a Capture the Moment session with a Disney photographer in one of the 4 parks. We did it the year Sammy graduated from Kindergarten & despite the rainy morning, which put some restrictions on us, we loved every moment of it! Not to mention, Sammy felt like a star! We purchased the gown with the sash from Amazon for around $15 & the cap & graduation Mickey stuffed animal from ShopDisney & brought it to our session, they provided the sign. Donāt wait to buy the cap in the parks, because even with our trip being in April they were already sold out in the parks & Disney Springs. So try to get it on ShopDisney as soon as you see it! Itās such a fun experience & a great keepsake of a special time in you or your loved ones life.
