Land-building success!
Since 1984, a steady flow of sediment from the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers has created 25 miles of coastal land in the Atchafalava Basin's Wax Lake Delta.
The delta is now teeming with birds and other wildlife - a testament to the real, achievable results Louisiana can gain when harnessing the power of the Mississippi River's sediment to build land!

The leaf whispers a song only nature can sing 🍂. In every stone, the face of patience resides, etched by time ⛰️. Inside the river, there flows an unfinishable story, a tale that we're all part of, and it will never end until all ends 🌊. We are connected to this universe in ways unseen, each element narrating a part of our existence. Tune in and listen; you might hear your own story.
We can only have that if we take care of the universe. It starts with water. It starts with us.
