The Whitney Plantation is the only slave plantation in the country. Completely dedicated to the history of the slaves who came here to Louisiana.

The Whitney has only been open about a year. The only Slave Plantation in the Country. This is more than a Plantation, it's an experience and a learning center. It's emotional. It's raw. I can almost promise, you will cry.

This one goes back to 2017! A swamp tour is so much fun!! On this day it was an airboat. We got deep into the swamp and the boat Captain spotted a Gator he recognized.

Ive taken countless Swamp Tours. Every single time it is amazing. It never gets old! Mother Nature is thrilled to show off many of its swamp creatures.

I find this map so interesting. All of the Plantations connected to the Mississippi River. Laura Plantation was rather large! But look at this super waterway of homes, and most were probably visible from the water as the levy had not yet been made.

Now there is a very high levy that holds the water of the river, in the river. It blocks the view of the river, but clearly protects the land.

If you want to do a Plantation tour, you know who can get you there!

It is always an interesting tour when you do the Night Cemetery Bus Tour. You learn about our burial processes above ground and you go into a couple different cemeteries. Creepy things often happen. Cameras capture things occasionally that are hard to explain.
