The City of New Orleans today issued revisions to the restrictions and guidelines in place to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, as vaccine rates continue to increase and case incidences and hospitalizations remain low. Eased guidelines will take effect at 6 a.m. on Friday, May 28.

City Park has created exclusive hours for bike riders to enjoy the Floats in the Oaks fundraiser on Saturday 2/6 and 2/13 from 11am to noon at $5 per person/bike. All bikes must enter at 2 Friedreichs Avenue and follow the designated 1.3-mile long route. Guests on bikes must wear a face covering at all times, only attend with members of their own household unless riding 6' away from another rider at all times (even in line), and riders may not stop along the route or leave their bike at any time. All tickets must be purchased in advance on neworleanscitypark.com. No pedestrians, motorized bikes, or vehicles will be allowed for the safety of bikers.

Good morning everyone! It’s a bright and sunny 65 degrees here today in downtown New Orleans. Hurricane Zeta came through last night but our buildings took no damage, no flooding and we do have electricity downtown. The city is waking up and restaurants are opening slowly today. A lot of the outer neighborhoods lost power and have trees down. We are also praying for the best for our neighbors in Grand Isle, Mississippi coast, and other hard hit areas.
