Its makes my heart break to hear Betty White has died. I've been watching her on TV since elementary school. I was looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday. One of the few people I consider a true icon.

TV favors the young — but Betty White only got more famous as she got older. White's career began in the earliest days of television, and she was active until her death Friday at the age of 99.
