These beautiful and whimsical pieces by the late now grace the walls of the Mardi Gras Suite. We’ve had them for over TWENTY years and kept them to ourselves. In fact, my parents purchased these from the man himself at a small little market in the Five Towns, Long Island, YEARS before I began my life in New Orleans. We’re giving them a new home for our guests to enjoy.
Even his signature is a work of art!

Jazz Fest photo dump. Everything that IS New Orleans is embodied in the annual beauty of Jazz Fest and we waited two long years to get it back. We celebrated it so fully with all the mango freezes, Cochon de Lait sandwiches and overpriced tallboys. Our favorite acts were Death Cab for Cutie, Stevie Nicks, Mardi Gras Indians and Shovels and Rope. It was worth every penny. And in between all the heat and music, we cooled off at our pool. Booking now for Jazz Fest 2023. Come and join us! Be a part of this at least once in your life.

Well 2021, we had some good times and some better times. Our year in review includes:
1) Beading up the house for a Mardi Gras in place kind of experience.
2) Enjoying some of the more under appreciated areas of our lovely abode.
3) Eating crawfish……and snoballs…..and BBQ from our beloved neighborhood places
4) Taking cheesy pictures with our fave delivery guy
5) Hosting porch concerts!
6) Battening down the hatches and evacuating for Hurricane Ida.
7) Getting a new fence…thanks to Ida
8) Going bananas with Halloween decor.
We are thankful to have had another great year, despite the obstacles of Covid and hurricane season. We are ready for you, 2022. The year is already booking up. So, when will we see ypu??

CALLING MUSICIANS FOR A PORCH CONCERT! Any fun band out there want to play our beauty of a porch after the Saints game, this Sunday (10/2) ? Maybe a little 4-6pm action? The city cleared our neutral ground of Ida debris last week so the "viewing area" is good to go! Message us if you're interested.

This right here is and . They are beautiful people, no filter needed.
Aaron and Christina agreed to stay at our place to weather the storm, with the promise of our generator. At the last minute, before evacuating, we decided to leave our cat in their care as well. We only expected them to keep themselves safe and comfortable and feed the cat. These guys hunkered down in our space during the storm and surprise, surprise our generator only worked intermittently. Immediately following the storm, Aaron and Christina did a thorough inspection of our property, inside and out, every nook and cranny. They sent copious pictures and videos so we could fully understand what the property endured, which thankfully was very little compared to countless others. When it was safe to do so, they got right to work trimming, raking and cleaning up all they could. These guys did more yard work in 5 days than I have done in 5 years. They cleaned out my fridge. They ventured to their own house which suffered damage but focused their efforts on MY house. They picked up the phone EVERY time I called or texted. When the generator DID work, they graciously let my neighbors use electricity to charge up, etc. They gathered the resources and materials to shore up my fence to ensure I had a secure perimeter. They did not sign up for ANY of this. They have done more than we could ever expect and they did so with a “can do!” and “no problem!” attitude. To say they went above and beyond is a massive understatement. We are grateful to have you in our lives. Thank you is not enough but it’s all I can say right now, as tears swell in my eyes. To everyone reading this, I hope you too are lucky enough to have people like these in your lives.

Update: our fence has been shored up! Massive thanks to and . You are my lifelines. These folks also cleared a whole of debris. Next up is tackling a very large downed tree from my neighbors yard, into mine. Business wise, we are currently closed until further notice and/or power is restored. If you want to know how to help, I am currently looking for a temporary loving home for 1 indoor only cat, beginning Friday. The tenure would be until power is restored. She does well with dogs. Not your thing? Focus your attention on those in much greater need than me, in some real low lying areas.
Now what can I do for YOU? How can I help you from afar??? We are in this together.

Update: There is a lot of debris at the inn, plus a downed fence in our backyard and tree limbs galore. Good news is that none of our FORTY windows broke. Gazillion year old single pane glass FTW! Obviously no power. We are so grateful to and for holding down our fort. If anyone has any leads on a fence repair, please let me know.

Not happy to report that our cases are on the rise in NOLA. To all of our future guests, please be advised that many places in the city are requiring proof of vaccination to enter. I'm happy to report that your innkeepers are fully vaxxed (with the exception of Tiny Flo). We'd love for you to be as well, but if you aren't please wear a mask while in the common areas on property.
