We came before Columbus or before any slave ships arrived, we were here already ✊🏾🪶

Just think about the huge amount of work that went into moving one of these Olmec heads! These massive sculptures, made by the Olmec civilization way back between 1400 and 400 BCE, are believed to represent their rulers and were hand-carved from basalt. You mostly find them in the Mexican states of Veracruz and Tabasco, and they really show off how advanced the Olmecs were when it came to art and organizing big projects.
