The Arts Council of Pointe Coupee is excited to announce Al “Lil Fats” Jackson will be in the house! Start the new year right grooving to the classics, an excellent show you won’t want to miss!
Saturday, January 18th, Julien Poydras Center, 500 West Main Street, New Roads, LA 70760. Doors open at 6 pm, show starts at 7 pm.

At a young age, Al "lil fats" Jackson had already accomplished the mastering of Rhythm and Blues in the New Orleans style. His techniques and enthusiasm are a direct result of his upbringing in New Orleans by a loving and extended family. Al's grandmother owned the Vet's Club roadhouse where she booked such nobles as Fats Domino, Llyod Price, and Tommy Ridgely. This exposure influenced Al to pursue a musical career that has brought him tremendous success and deemed him the nickname "Lil Fats" for his indistinguishable voice to Fats Domino.
