Visiting the White House yesterday was a memorable experience. I especially loved this China Cabinet which displayed patterns from George Washington's Presidency forward. Some First Ladies selected very elaborate tableware. some chose very simple patterns and some decided not to order anything at all and used what former First Ladies had selected.

So about that handshake...
If you are going to shake someone's hand then shake their hand like you mean it. A dead-fish handshake just won't do, in any situation. Giving someone a weak handshake will make you appear untrustworthy or disinterested. You may also appear as if you lack confidence.
