NSB boasts pristine beaches, unique shops and restaurants, hands-on activities, and so much more. While known by some as “the shark bite capital of the world”—and believe me, you’ll see the tee shirts, it is a well known surfing destination. More than eight world class competitive surfers flock there. Offering some of the finest waves on the east coast, it’s a great place to learn too! NSB was named as one of “America’s Top Small Cities for the Arts” by Americans for the Arts. You’ll find many places of historical and cultural significance. Even Bob Ross called NSB home during one point of his career! The downtown streets of NSB can’t be beat, with its relaxed vibe, diverse shops and restaurants, and not a chain in sight, it is fully pedestrian and family friendly. If you’re a nature lover, wildlife abounds! Along with the abundant marine life, such as dolphins and manatees, you might see alligators, turtles, and more than 400 species of birds. And fishermen, NSB is known as the “redfish capital of the world!” If you feel like taking a little drive, there are many attractions nearby from historic St. Augustine to the Kennedy Space Center to the many attractions in Orlando. In fact, New Smyrna Beach has been known as Orlando’s beach because its so close. With so many options of things to do and something to please everyone, NSB will quickly become you’re favorite vacation destination!
