Something a little unusual to enjoy on Monday if you are around NSB or Daytona!

The City of Daytona Beach Shores is inviting the public to the demolition of the former Treasure Island Resort on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11 a.m.

A viewing event for the demolition will be held in the vacant lot at 2024 S. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores, featuring a champagne toast with remarks from Daytona Beach Shores Mayor Nancy Miller. The vacant lot, which will also provide parking for the event, is located across the street from the demolition site.

Drivers start your engines! Your car has to go at least 55 MPH thru the steep banked turns or it will slide down! Mike and I rode in a race car around the track at 160 MPH and it was AWESOME!

We watch the start and finish and celebrations of the Shark Bite Half Marathon from our balcony each year. Usually very festive and fun complete with runners dressed in Shark costumes. This year the weather was rainy and blustery and chased off most of the crowd. Enjoyed reading about these young runners. We will watch for them next year!
