In case anyone needs to renew their US passport, they’re running a pilot program where you can renew 100% online as long as your passport was issued after the age of 16, hasn’t been expired for more than 10 years, and the photo that you submit meets their requirements. I applied on September 26th. Today they updated my application status to approved, printed my new passport, and told me that it should be delivered to me by October 12th. They give a disclaimer that it can take up to 6 to 8 weeks because they are not currently offering expedited service through this online pilot program. But, as you guys can calculate, start to finish the process took just over 2 weeks for me. Did I mention that because my 8million picture options were taken at home, I get to have this casual slay on my passport for the next decade?! 😂😂😂😂

Anddddddddd…for anyone who is applying/re-applying for Global Entry. They’re also running a pilot where they are doing virtual interviews so you don’t have to go into the airport. The only thing that I will say is that Global Entry pricing increased by $20 on October 1st so it is now $120 for five years. Still most definitely worth it. The last time that I flew internationally without Global Entry was to Dubai in 2019 and coming back to JFK I spent 2hr 45 minutes in customs. I haven’t spent more than 120 seconds in customs since. No, this is not an exaggeration. I’ve timed it. Best $20 a year I’ve ever spent!!!!
