Pre-cruise hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the Courtyard by Marriott San Juan Miramar.
Just returned from my first Carnival Cruise on the Valor out of Port Canaveral. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. When people say Carnival is the party ship, they were not lying. There were a number of activities to do throughout the day and even more at night. I took advantage of a 75 minute massage, saw a Broadway show, an 80s themed show, karaoke and a couple of comedy shows. I danced the night away at one of the clubs, the deck party, the adult only Serenity party, and a 70s & 80s party. There was never a dull moment. There was a choice to eat in Rosie's buffet, Fish and Chips, Guys Burger and Fries, the Blue Cantina, the Red Frog Pub, the Mongolian Wok or the main dining room. There was pizza, ice cream and deli sandwiches served late night. There were 8 bars too. I recommend a Carnival Cruise for anyone seeking an upbeat and vibrant trip.
