It is largely undisputed that Milan is the design capital. If that was ever even a question, it gets answered in the affirmative each April by the Salone del Mobile, and the global design community it ushers into town. And yet, the city’s always lacked a hotel that quite lives up to this reputation — or even references this legacy. Until now. Quietly entering the scene is , a 16-room property whose unassuming exterior in the Cinque Via zone belies a pitch perfect tribute to 20th century Italian design. Think polished travertine, furniture in bold jewel tones, and a place where respectful nods to Gio Ponti abound.
