Ourika Organic Farms. in Marrakech, Morocco
I ran, no, just kidding. I flew from Portugal to Marrakech to prep for you all. This jaunt of two days included a visit to this property in the Ourika Valley. Ever heard of the Ourika Organic Garden. it is an amazing little gem I have been hearing about but this was my first visit. This is Amanda. What do you think? Care to join me. Let’s hope that we are able to continue moving around.
Good Sunday to you from #Marrakech. #moroccotravel #earlymornings #riadcwntral

This Berber village area was new to me until my visit to Morocco last Fall. There are 3 small villages in this area not so far from Marrakech. We spent the day in Imlii. We will return to the area with Jaki Shelton Green, North Carolina Poet Laureate, in June for the Creativity and Writing Salon. It will be a time of slow travel during which you can choose to pick up your pen to discover something perhaps ready to sprout.
Jaki says “We are all human museums carrying/holding/translating/secrets/identities/family/community/traditions/artifacts/stories/symbols/joys/sorrows/fears/regrets/hopes/dreams/memories/amnesia/weapons/generational trauma/genetic de-ja-vu.” She asks us to think of ourselves as our own curator or personal anthropologist... “what is in your human museum? What are the "rooms" "spaces" “containers" you create for the telling, for the keeping, for the knowing, for your stories, your creativity, and for your validations as a writer?” Join us in exploring this old civilization and some deep engagement while we seek to truly understand why we need to be the curators of our own lives.
Does this sound like you?.
Heading in NYC for #NYTTravelShow As famous attorney #JohnnyCochrane would say,”preparation, preparation, preparation.” A curated #travel adventure begins with preparation.

In this dance of torero versus toro there is much to learn culturally. I realize this is not to everyone’s taste. Such is life.
Come share this good ocean air June 23rd. Still tweaking the program which I will post in the events section soon; but if you are anywhere near, or can be near the Jersey Shore, let’s meet up.
Solopreneurs or soon-to-be sky-divers in the entrepreneurial space, let’s hang out on the Jersey Shore.
If you are in the Tri-state NE corridor, come on down the shore. Because we will go further in community than going alone
Plus if you are already dreaming a dream that scares you, June 21st is going to be exactly what you need.
Watch this space for an event listing with details.
On Faro’s rooftop area eating grilled sardines across the street from the Atlantic Ocean while listening to a local Gnaoua band in Essaouira. Two male dancers who are also singers begin to dance and to mesmerize us. What do you think? How about their knees?
Being led to the IMARA dinner at Jnane Tamsna you hear us catch our breath
