Join me and The New Republic magazine for a cultural exchange journey to Cuba from March 5 - 12, 2023! Throughout the week, we will meet with distinguished Cuban sociologists, economists, and journalists; visit museums with renowned art historians; and enjoy Cuban music at private concerts with prominent jazz, classical, and trova artists. We will attend exclusive performances at the country’s famed private dance studios, hear the stories of Afro-Cuban and LGBT activists, visit the private studios of celebrated artists, and drink and dine at the island’s finest private restaurants.

Wanna go with me to Cuba?? From March 19 - 26, I'll be taking a group of artists, academics, and writers to Havana, Cienfuegos, and Trinidad, Cuba!! This will be my 39th trip to the island nation. Right now I space for four additional people.

I'm not quite sure what I did to deserve this honor, but many thanks to the NH Capri Hotel in Havana for the Award of Recognition on the 60th Anniversary of this wonderful and historic hotel! Additional thanks to Avianna and Elvis for taking and sending this photo! I'll pick up my award when I return December 8!
