Our Story
Moravian Cemetery (founded 1740) offers guided tours thru its beautiful landscaped grounds. Cemetery historian and tour guide and promoter of local history, Richard Simpson says, “I can’t predict the future, but I can sure tell you about the past. It's up to me to keep people's memory alive by telling their real-life story.” Simpson has compiled biographical information for hundreds of people resting in the cemetery. Simpson also answers requests from families seeking burial records which are important when researching: the cemetery's records date to 1867.
