é created FRI TRAVEL (Virtuoso Member), which designs and implements customized trips to a large number of destinations around the world. FRI Inc. services a diverse international market, having offices in Paris (France) and in New York City (USA). Ms. Rougé is a seasoned international traveler, having visited many of the world’s major tourist and business capitals during her 25-year career. She has never stopped exploring new horizons since childhood. She is personable, lively, fluent in the culinary arts and hospitality, and multi-lingual. She started her road to success within, as she calls it, “la petite famille de l’hôtellerie” (the small family of the hospitality industry) working as the only foreign executive woman at the New Otani hotel in Tokyo (Japan), at the time the largest hotel in Asia. She then joined the group ACCOR in 1983 where after having spent one year at their headquarters in the International Sales and Marketing Division, was transferred to New York City to open the first Novotel in North America. This experience was her first venture in New York, the city where she decided to settle and has made her home. In 1986, Ms. Rougé opened the North American office for Hotel Le Bristol of Paris, a deluxe property, member of The Leading Hotels of the World and Preferred Hotels, and held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North America. After five years of a successful operation, Ms. Rougé created FRI Inc. and three years later, her natural instinct for travel brought about the launch of FRI TRAVEL, for which she earned her current reputation as being “z” French touch. Rougé participated in the creation and development of the New York catering company, Tentation Catering Inc. which later joint-ventured with Potel & Chabot in 1991. She is a worldwide event planner (conferences, meetings, weddings, etc.) Rougé received a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from IMHI, a graduate program jointly operated by Cornell University (Ithaca, USA) and the Business School: ESSEC (Paris, France).
