What a day to be in Brooklyn.
Day 3 of 5: the Dutch sign gave google translate a tough time, but it seems that this paradise of sea marsh, birds, flowers, grazing animals, and windmills was the work of 14th century fairy dust. #fairytales #seamarsh #windmills #birding #dutchcoast #bikepacking #biking #cycling #tourguidelife #travelback @udigoren @yoniavital1
Queen doing a mic check for @globalcitizenfestival ended up as a free private concert for the few who happened to be in @centralparknyc’s #greatlawn this afternoon. The lawn itself was once upon a time a giant reservoir, part of the Croton Aqueduct built 150 years ago to bring fresh water into the epidemic-plagued metropolis. It was filled in at the beginning of the 20th C, has hosted concerts from Diana Ross, Garth Brooks and Paul Simon. Tomorrow, the festival has a crazy lineup raising money for addressing poverty... and have a good time. @officialqueenmusic @adamlambert #nyc #history #tourguidelife
Going to be the coldest Macy's ever (and coldest Thanksgiving in #nyc 1871, but the Central Park band shell is hot with Keller, Texas’s marching band! #thanksgiving #kellermarchingband #macys #parade #holiday #holidayseason @kellerhighschoolofficial
First time looking into an open, active volcano @guadeloupe’s #lagrandesoufriere. Also, first stop at a volcano since guiding tours American Museum of Natural History. Neil deGrasse Tyson, do you have a recommendation for an hour-long podcast on why the earth developed into a planet inhabitable by life, including the atmosphere, electromagnetic field, as well as the unique evolution of tectonic plates? #bigbangtheory #evolution #volcanicactivity #liquidhotmagma #whyistheskyblue #caribbean #guadeloupe
Prepping the finest knafeh on earth @alaqsasweetco in #nablus. A traditional Palestinian dessert, instead of shredded wheat dyed orange, here we have a particularly generous cheese ratio on semolina. This bubbling mountain stream is known in Arabic as Ein Jaloud, the spring if Goliath. Named for the most famous Philistine, it lies at the foot of Mount Gilboa where the Biblical battle between the Philistines and King Saul took place 3,000 years ago. Here, in 1260, the Islamic warrior-slave, Baibars, who rose up to create a new dynasty stopped the onslaught of the Mongol Empire, largest in human history. The spring is the furthest point southwest the Mongols reached. In the Book of Judges, the spring is known as Ein Haroud, where Gideon brought his exhausted soldiers to quench their thirst after long days of training before battling the Canaanite Mideanites. #history #worldheritage #galilee #jezrealvalley #gilboa #einjaloud #einharoud #baibars #mongolempire #gameofthrones #bible #holyland #israeltour @israelnationalparks @israel_museum
Learning to make Fatayer at a home hospitality cooking workingshop in the Druze village of Yarka in the Galilee. The Druze have lived in the Galilee for a thousand years and have a rich culinary tradition closely tied to the land. We enjoyed homemade olive oil, local herbs and spices, fresh seasonal vegetables. The greens in the picture are local zaatar (hyssop) and, once stuffed, those doughy bad boys are getting ready to be thrown on a flat stove over an open fire. @galileat #galilee #druze #holyland #gourmet #cookingworkshop #hospitality #travelgram #travel #tourguide #tourguidelife #ciceronetravel #culinary

So many know of Grammercy Park, so few have entered. The odd gated private park in the heart of Manhattan that defied the 1811 grid and first understood how to value the island’s precious real estate. The statue in the center is Edwin Booth, the greatest Hamlet in the 19th Century U.S. and the brother of the country’s most infamous assassins, John Wilkes Booth. #grammercypark #lincoln #edwinbooth #assassin #travelgram #tour #nyc #ciceronetravel #manhattan #teddyroosevelt #jimmyfallon

HaMidbar Midaber: “The desert speaks.” Here, in the Biblical wilderness that at varying times hosted Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, we soak up some spiritual inspiration in a unique geological formation - a Makhtesh, a crater-like formation that is essentially the belly of a completely eroded mountain ridge. #machtesh #mizperamon #negev #bible #wilderness #revelation #notacrater @deep_desert_israel
