Roque Cinchado is one of the most famous rock formations in Mount Teide National Park. It is also widely known as the Finger of God or the Stone Tree due to its tree-like shape, minus the leaves and fruit.

Mount Teide is the third highest and most voluminous volcanic structure in the world, following Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea in Hawaii. It is the highest peak on the Canary Islands and in the whole of Spain.

Built by Ivan the Terrible in the 1550s, this intriguing cathedral bordering Red Square consists of nine separate chapels, each capped with its own individually shaped and colored dome.

St. Basil was known for many saintly predictions and acts, but was notably a respected critic of Ivan IV's cruel practices. It is possible then that Russians find it more fitting to revere the Cathedral as the mausoleum of a popular, saintly critic than as the victory monument of a cruel monarch.

During the 17th and 18th century, Prague's castle were left untouched, and as a result, the city is a beautiful mixture of Baroque, Gothic and Renaissance architecture that is pretty hard to find anywhere else in Europe.

One of the first places on the itinerary of most visitors to Prague is the Old Town Square, which dates from the twelfth century. Not only is it one of the oldest squares, but it also contains great monuments such as the Old Town Hall, the Church of Our Lady of Tyn, the Kinsky Palace, and the Stone Bell House.

Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria,  is one of the oldest cities in Europe.   It’s in the west of the country, below the  Vitosha Mountain. The city’s landmarks reflect more than seven thousand years of history, including Greek, Roman, Ottoman and Soviet occupation. Medieval Boyana Church has 13th-century frescoes.

The Saint Alexander Nevsky Cathedral  is a Bulgarian Orthodox cathedral in Sofia. Built in Neo-Byzantine style, it serves as the cathedral church of the Patriarch of Bulgaria, and it is one of the 50 largest Christian church buildings by volume in the world.

The Saint Sofia Church is the oldest church in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, dating to the fourth century. In the predecessor building took place the Council of Serdica held most probably in 343 and attended by 316 bishops. In the 14th century, the church gave its name to the city, previously known as Serdika.

The Bulgarian president's office isn't open to the public, but the changing of the guard ceremony (on the hour) is a spectacle not to be missed; for the full ceremony, replete with music, weapons and all manner of pomp, be there on the first Wednesday of the month at noon.

Monument to the Unknown Soldier is a monument in the city center located just next to the 6th-century Church of St Sophia. The monument commemorates the hundreds of thousands of Bulgarian soldiers who died in wars defending their homeland. Here, you can also find the eternal flame.
