VETERANS DAY 🇺🇸

Veterans Day, the federal holiday honoring our army's veterans, is celebrated today and the best thing you can do, is to join the NYC Veterans Day Parade💙

As is the case every year in New York, the parade is produced by the United War Veterans Council and will take over the city's streets to honor the event towards midday. The event is actually the largest Veterans Day celebration in the whole country and starts at 12:30 until 3pm today.
The event will take over Fifth Avenue between 26th Street and 48th Street. 💙

Runs from 7-11pm
Route: The Halloween Parade runs up Sixth Ave from King St to 15th St in Manhattan

2: ROOFTOP CINEMA CLUB’S HALLOWEEN LINEUP🍿

3: TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS - LIGHT TRAIL:
The New York Botanical Garden is hosting the worldwide debut of a new light trail entirely inspired by the 1993 classic Disney film Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The trail is comprised of over 8,300 square feet of light installations with interactive video projections, intelligent LED lighting and 3D printed sculptures of the film's iconic characters.
The outdoor adventure runs from September 27 through November 30.

4: PUMPKIN NIGHTS AT THE BRONX ZOO🎃
After the sun goes down, the Bronx Zoo will light up this fall with more than 5,000 animal-themed jack-o’-lanterns in incredible displays. Officially called Pumpkin Nights, this festivity is back for its second year after a popular debut in 2023, and this is perfect for kids.
This year's festivities include an expanded and enhanced jack-o'-lantern trail that stretches for half a mile. As you walk through the experience, you'll be met with atmospheric sounds, music, costumed characters, fog, bubbles and colored lights.

5: CANDLELIGHT GHOST TOUR AT MANHATTANS MOST HAUNTED HOUSE👻
Are you brave and want to feel you are ready for something a little more spooky? Then this is for you…
Once upon a time, people lived in building now called the Merchant’s House Museum in Noho. Then they died ... but their spirits may not have moved on. This 50-minute tour reveals the dark, haunted past of this old structure—as well as its spooky present.
Try the Candlelight Ghost Tour where doors slam, floorboards creak, and voices call into the dead of night.

MUST DO IN NYC THIS WEEKEND🗽:

TOMPKINS SQUARE PARK HALLOWEEN DOG PARADE 🐶

Halloween Parade’s are fun but it doesnt have the cute dogs all dressed up…For that, you’ll have to head to this annual dog parade held this year on Saturday, October 19. The getups are remarkably elaborate and conceptual—no surprise given the prizes up for grabs for Best in Show.
This year's parade will take place from 1-3pm. Though the exact parade route hasn't been announced, it typically runs on Avenue B from E. 6th Street to E. 14th Street, with staging on E. 7th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B.

Weather your dog is competing or you are just watching; you will have a lot of fun 🐶

ICE SKATING SEASON IS ON ❄️

ICONIC ICERING AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER:
The Rockefeller Center Ice Rink is gearing up for its 2024 opening on the 12th of october.
Together with the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, this is one of the most iconic events taking place in NYC, which many wait for.

BRYANT PARK WINTER VILLAGE:
Skate and shop at this incredible winter Village which will open for guests on 25. October - until 2. March 2025.
Its 17,000-square-foot ice-skating rink that’s free to use (if you bring your own skates) is always the highlight, but its Winter Village in all its holiday spirit is a close second. This year, over 170 new and returning kiosks will be there for you

LABOR DAY CELEBRATIONS IN NYC🗽

Make the most of your 3-day weekend coming in today, with our top recommendations in the city 🤍☀️🗽
Labor Day Weekend in NYC is the last hurrah of summer. It’s our last chance to truly enjoy all the good things summer has brought us—rooftop bars, beaches, pristine pools, beautiful parks and more, before Fall is upon us🤩

1: The Caribbean Day Parade💃🏻
On monday, you Can Party all the way down Eastern Parkway and enjoy technicolor floats representing countries like Barbados, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago while you indulge in jerk chicken and other delicacies. These costumed gods and goddesses of this wild parade spend the whole year hot-gluing feathers and stones to their magnificent outfits.
So worth seeing! ☀️

2: NYC Labor Day Parade🗽
The big yearly Labor Day Parade is an unforgetable must see experince! That’s why it is held on saturday 7th september starting at 10am, some days after the 3-day long weekend, so you have enough time to recover from all the parties, and actually honor the national holiday at this joyous parade.
The NYC Labor Day Parade is something to be proud of!
Tens of thousands of workers representing more than 200 unions and constituency groups will come together to march along Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 64th Street. This year's theme is All Workers, Many Voices, One Fight.

3: Brooklyn Bridge Walking Tour on Labor Day:
Celebrate the heroes who built the Brooklyn Bridge by taking a free walking tour on the morning of Labor Day, September 2, over the iconic New York landmark.
At 9am, you will meet your knowledgable guide from Scott's New York at the Jacob Wrey Mould Fountain in City Hall Park and take off for a three-hour, three-mile stroll over the Brooklyn Bridge, learning about the working class behind its historic construction as well as the working conditions, wages, triumphs and tragedies they encountered over 14 long years.
Pre-register is a must!

SHADES at Edge NYC

Visiting the Edge is always an incredible experince, even for New Yorkers who has seen the skyline thousand of times.
The Edge is the highest sky deck in the western hemisphere, and are always stunning with different activations throughout the year, but now they’re even more beautiful thanks to an eye-catching new activation called SHADES.

SHADES features transparent colors in both the indoor and outdoor areas of Edge. On the outdoor deck, see how the perspective changes as you look through the clear glass versus the colorful panels. Inside, peek through colorful panels that make an adorable photo-op. “SHADES” is on view through September and is included with admission.
