A hidden gem! 😍❤️

Holbox is not far from Cancún. If one is fortunate enough to fly, crossing the Yum Balam reserve, the trip takes about 20 minutes. However, by car, you have to go down to Nuevo Valladolid and then go back up, skirting the reserve until you reach Chiquilá, from where the ferry departs to the island. The two-hour drive, plus the ferry ride, have helped keep the island off the radar of large-scale tourism. But more importantly, maintaining the island as it is now has become an increasing challenge each year: the secret that a corner of paradise still exists at the tip of the Yucatán Peninsula is becoming harder and harder to keep.

American Airlines announced it will exclude tickets booked via agencies like yours from its loyalty program, AAdvantage, unless you can meet its unrealistic criteria to become an AA “preferred” agency, starting on May 1, 2024.

This latest development doubles down on American Airlines’ clear agenda since last year to force the travel agency industry to adopt immature technology, monopolize distribution channels, and squeeze channel partners.

Fisher Towers National Recreation Trail offers some of the most expansive and striking views of beautiful Utah. The towers, soaring monuments to erosion, are composed of dark red sandstone that rise above the valley like elaborate castles.

The Bureau of Land Management-managed trail winds for 2.2 miles around the base of Fisher Towers and climbs up to nearly 360-degree views of the Colorado River basin, including Castle Rock, Castle Valley and the Bookcliffs.
