They can be in the cozy lobby of the landmark Algonquin Hotel, standing inside a fort built in 1794 on Governors Island, or exploring the heroes of Cypress Hills National Cemetery. Founder Kevin Fitzpatrick is an expert on everything from cannons to cocktails, and has written extensively about the Jazz Age in Manhattan as well as authors, actors, and soldiers. All guides who work with the company also share his passion for history and literature.

This is the landmark Knickerbocker Hotel in Times Square. Unfortunately, right now it is covered in the most incredible level of scaffolding you have probably ever seen. But this is what is underneath. It is on two of our walking tours; this is where Scott Fitzgerald briefly lived. It has lots of great history, and a fantastic rooftop bar called St. Cloud. That was the original name of the 19th century hotel that once was on this piece of property before Astor bought it and built this beautiful building.
