If you haven’t been to the Newcomb Diner for one of their Friday night dinners, hurry and make a reservation. We had the penne with basil cream sauce and shrimp and I took home a piece of the cake with rhubarb and strawberry compote. Delicious!!! Great job guys and wonderful service as always.

We also want to send a special thank you to Alex Garrido, owner of Alex’s Mobile Auto Service. We had problems with all 3 of our vehicles at once and Alex was able to fit us into his busy schedule. Catastrophe avoided. Thanks Alex!

Now we just need some ice cream. Jill?? We anxiously await your Grand Opening.

Newcomb has some special events happening over the Memorial Day weekend. There will be a reenactment group at the Overlook from Friday through Sunday. They are representing the 118th NY infantry division specifically from the Adirondacks. At least 5 original soldiers from Newcomb enlisted to support the Union cause.
Across the highway is the Seeley Exhibit Hall displaying 3 beautiful guideboats built by Newcomb craftsmen. Next door is our Visitor’s Center which provides information on everything from hiking trails to weather reports , places to eat and additional activities available in the area.
Come for the weekend and stay with us at the Inn. We promise it won’t snow!

Thank you to the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts for their wonderful June Jubilee, held on Sunday at the Hedges.The event included a history of the camp, tours of several buildings/rooms and an extremely tasty lunch. A silent auction featured many local products and services with money raised going towards program development etc. for the Center.
If you have not visited The Hedges or participated in any of the Center's program, please visit their websites.

For the next two weeks, the Long Lake Library will exhibit the Audubon photography winners for 2022. The library is closed Sunday and Monday and hours vary depending on the day of the week.
These pictures are truly amazing. Thank you to the library and anyone else who helped bring this wonderful exhibit to the Adirondacks.
