Put a 36" lift kit on a new 14kw today.
The original generator was stuffed under the deck. Not only was that a code violation but the old generator went underwater as well. A lot of customers look for value, we offer quality.

Job Description:

We have a direct hire Bookkeeper/Office Manager position for a small generator service company in the Oak Ridge area. The Bookkeeper/Office Manager will be responsible for managing for all bookkeeping functions for the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, cash receipts, updating the general ledger, and payroll. This person will also manage administrative tasks in support of the office including supporting HR functions, inventory of office supplies, answering customer calls as needed, records management, monthly mailings to customers, and managing/maintaining vendor relationships. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a small office environment, work well independently, wearing multiple hats, as well as experience with A/P, A/R, and administrative functions. QuickBooks experience is required.

The salary for this position is $20-30 per hour and is dependent on experience.

This is a direct hire role.

Working hours: Prefer Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00am-5:00pm, but flexible for the right person. The position is currently part time. Full time employment possible in the near future for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

-At least 2 years experience working in a small office environment handling light bookkeeping (A/P and A/R) functions

-Customer service oriented, professional demeanor

-QuickBooks experience is required

-Construction experience a plus, but not required

-Experience with MS Word and Excel

-Self starter and works well independently

At this time we have resumed scheduling for repair and maintenance. Sales and installation is still a week out. Our main concern is our existing customers before new ones. Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

Some customers have indicated that they are not booking service because of growing financial concerns. I get that 100%. We are willing to provide service with a 120 day payment term. For those with significant hardships we will extend the terms even further. We have trucks, technicians and inventory at your disposal during these difficult times.

Our service department is still working at 100%. We will not close unless someone gets sick or we are ordered to by officials. We are practicing the all safety measures possible to prevent the spread of the virus.
Generator Man has been and always will be an emergency service company. Our commitment to our customers is priority #1.

To all Generator Man customers,
We highly recommend that every generator owner checks their unit for proper operation. Also check your records and see if the unit is due for service. If service is needed we suggest making the appointment as soon as possible.
I have been in the emergency response business for 25 years. Every emergency is unique to itself and has specific challenges. For me the common denominator was usually weather and power loss. My concern is that we already have a major strain on our supply lines with the Corona virus. If a major storm and or outage is thrown in the mix it could prove to be a very difficult situation. I don't want my customers to be blindsided by such an event so please be vigilant in monitoring your equipment.
Above all be kind and respectful to others and know we're all in this together.
