Welcome to Cappy's Cottage located just 2 1/2 blocks from the surf and sand. For families, the shore is gently sloped, so little ones can play in the shallow water without being overcome by the waves. We are within walking distance to Newport Beach Pier, the Pavilions grocery store, restaurants, bars, entertainment and recreation. Our local park is just 5 houses away where the kids can play on the playground or basketball court. We are a quick 15 minute bike ride to Balboa Fun Zone and Balboa Island Ferry. The cottage is close enough to the all of the activity and night life surrounding the Pier, yet far enough away to enjoy a good book peacefully on the patio or sleep with your windows open at night. Our beautiful, air conditioned, two bedroom, two bath, 829 square foot front unit is newly remodeled and furnished for our guests in a cheerful cottage style with ceramic wood look floors throughout. The living room has comfortable seating for 6, a gas fireplace, flat screen TV, cable, wireless internet, games, books and more. The sliding glass door opens onto the patio where you can lounge in the seating area and feel the cool ocean breeze. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, stove top, sink, dishwasher, Ninja blender, a coffee bar with a Keurig coffee maker and all of the equipment you need to make enjoyable meals at home. The dining table will seat six and the breakfast bar will seat 3 comfortably. If you are a foodie and like eating out, there are 50+ restaurants within walking and biking distance. Bedroom two: Queen bed, HDTV, dresser, closet and an attached bathroom with tub/shower, sink and toilet. Living room: Queen Lazyboy sleeper sofa with a Memory Foam mattress. It does not have that awful bar that hits in the center of your back. This is the best Lazyboy sleeper available. Comforters, blankets and pillows will be provided. The guest bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. We include toilet paper, a magnifying mirror, blow dryer and soap for both bathrooms. There is parking for one car in the shared enclosed garage which also includes a shared laundry area. Included are 1 men’s bike, 1 women's bike, 2 boogie boards, 4 beach chairs, an umbrella, beach toys, a cooler and a red wagon to carry your items to the beach. There is also a gas grill and a nice seating area on the patio. The house is professionally cleaned after each guest. Cappy's Cottage is only 17 minutes from John Wayne Airport (SNA).
20 minutes from Disneyland, California Adventure, Knott's Berry Farm, Laguna Beach and Balboa Island .
38 minutes from Long Beach Aquarium and the Queen Mary.
45 Minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
About 59 minutes to Sea World, Lego Land, San Diego Zoo, Hollywood, Universal Studios and many other tourist attractions. This is an ideal home for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy the perfect weather without having to do a lot of extra traveling. You can truly drive in, park your car and walk or bike to everything you want to do. There is Uber too of course. HINT: If a more relaxed and quiet vacation is what you're looking for September and October are fabulous, due to the great weather and reduced number of tourists. If, you enjoy the hustle and bustle of lots of tourists come for the 4th of July, spring break or any major holiday, it is quite entertaining.

Could not recommend enough! This family owned farm has been set up for a joyful experience.

Right now, the Irvine location has fields of pick you own pumpkins, petting zoo, tractor ride (recommend!), and a farmers market stand.

Castaways Trail is a 1.3 mile paved loop path along a scenic view of the bay & the ocean. It is a short drive but you will find free parking, restrooms & playground across the street at Bob Henry Park Playground.

What do you do when EVERY parking spot for the beach is taken???? Oh, that’s right. . .you don’t have to worry about that because you’ll walk, bike, pull the radio flyer wagon from front door right down to the sand!
