During his childhood, while growing up in Jacksonville NC, Rick spent a lot of time on the water both relaxing and offshore fishing. During that time he got a lot of practical experience driving various size boats learning how to handle vessels and predict weather and sea changes. Rick went to East Carolina University where he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he entered the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. Rick spent 29 years in the Air Force at various assignments around the world, retiring in 2008 as a Colonel. In 2006 Rick ventured into larger boat experience, owning a 42 ft Sea Ray Aft Cabin. During the next several years he gained much big boat experience Captaining his boat and others up and down the eastern seaboard both at sea and the ICW. Rick is comfortable with all aspects of boat handling, mechanical issues, sea and weather states, planning, and vessel management. He joined United Yacht Sales in 2015 and looks forward to helping you with your boating experience.
