#TBT Horseshoe Falls & Maid of the Mist, 1939 Do you notice anything different, compared to today? On the far left - Checkout the water flowing over present day Terripan Point - known then as Terripan Rocks. In the 1950's dirt & fill was dumped here to create a new observation area, increasing the size of the viewing space - but while reducing the size of the Horseshoe Falls. Compare this video to almost any photo taken after 1960, and you'll notice the difference! Terripan Rocks was the location where a wooden bridge once stretched out to Terripan Tower.
