Jane Keckler grew up on a tree nursery where she was surrounded by all the natural things she loves–the sky, the earth, wildfowl, animals, and people. After attending William and Mary, she took various classes in art. Jane founded Art Glass Company, where she created and restored stained glass windows and taught courses for 25 years. She enjoyed the transparency of glass, which carried over to her love for watercolors.

“My art has always been my escape to the natural world. It's my quiet place. I search for the ethereal look of glass in my watercolors. Jellyfish and other underwater life exude this on their own, and I try to capture it.” - Jane
