There are a lot of new adventures planned at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – from monsters and mermaids to villains and more. There’s huge excitement around the new Monsters, Inc-themed land and more details were shared today about timelines for that area of the park.

Construction on the land is ready to begin and progress walls begin installation in the area before the end of March. This means that Cast at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will serve their final Guests on May 10.

As for Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, Guests will have some additional time to enjoy these areas as we kick-off a glorious 5-month finale before these areas have their final curtain call on June 7.

It’s no secret that the Muppets have a special place in our hearts and we are exploring ways to preserve the Muppet*Vision 3D film and other parts of the experience for generations to come. And don’t forget! Kermit, Miss Piggy and friends are soon headed just across the park to their new home on Sunset Boulevard. More to come about that timeline.

So many fantastic Character Experiences and unique Attractions in Hollywood Studios Park.

I loved that some Characters where holding impromptu meetings and calling people from the crowd to interact with. Having a younger child probably would get you the edge but my "big kids" got some attention too.

Always tons of fun on Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, Rock'n Roller Coaster, Star Wars : Rise of the Resistance and so many more Attraction experiences.

Photo Blog : Disney's Boardwalk

What a beautiful area to either stay or visit during your Disney World trip.

Jeff and I let the kids go back to our resort after a long morning at Hollywood Studios and he and I hopped on a water taxi. We got off at the Swan & Dolphin and walked to the Boardwalk.

It was such a lovely walk, we tried the new Corndog stand and saw the new Cake Bake shop. The Corndogs are ginormous. Definitely sharable. He and I couldn't even finish the "pickle dog" that we got. It was tasty but very messy and HUGE.

Everyone thinks Disney is "go, go, go" but when you have a nice long stay, you can experience the more relaxing parts of it too.

Photo Blog : Jock Lindsay's Hanger Bar.

This bar in Disney Springs is so unique. It is themed after Indiana Jones' pilot. It was so cool to see all the decor and the "Light Bites" menu was anything but Light.

We dined on :
- Air Pirate's Cargo Loaded Pretzel
-Bread Dip Pyramid (2 of these. We gobbled the first up in no time)
and
-Mine Car Meatballs

We even got to eat in the Diving Bell. So special!!

What a great way to take a shopping break in Disney Springs.

Photo Blog : Backlot Express & ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios.

It's not all "burgers and fries" when you order a Quick Meal. Jeff and I enjoyed some great options at Backlot Express and ABC commissary. Check out the Southwest Chicken Salad and Terryaki Chicken Bowl we absolutely loved. A couple of yummy drinks on the side too ;-) they come with the Adult Quick Meals.

The Arugala Farro salad can be ordered as a Snack credit or with chicken as a Children's Quick Meal with 2 sides.

Photo Blog : Up Close with Rhinos.
(Only 1 picture opportunity once we were back "on stage")

This was an absolutely amazing experience!!
A behind the scenes look at these magnificent animals.
We learned about other species of Rhinos and got to meet and touch a white rhinoceros.

Because Disney puts the safety of their animals and guests first, you may not always be able to touch them. Usually they love this attention and will gladly allow guests to get this close.

This experience is very popular, has a small group capacity and is only offered once a day. Because of this, you will likely need a 6 or 7 night, on site stay minimum and schedule it for your last day. Even though we typically stay for 6 or 7 nights, I still could not secure this for our school break trips. I was able to snag a reservation over this past summer.
Well worth the wait!!

Photo Bog : Viewing Charges and Dining Plan Activity on the My Disney Experience App

It is so easy to view the charges you send back to your room (using your Magic Band or Key Card) and your remaining Dining Plan entitlements on your MDE app.

On the home screen, you click the 3 lines on the bottom right, then scroll to "Hotel Reservations", then click either "Check Dining Plan" or "View Charges".

I also recommend looking over all receipts during the transaction but this is a great way to have visibility at a glance.

Photo Blog : Enchanted Rose @ Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Don't forget to visit the beautifully themed lounges with delicious food and unique beverage options.
We try to visit one on each trip.

The Enchanted Rose was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to get something to eat and drink before heading to the park one night.

I am still dreaming of those House-made Truffle Fries and Espresso Martini. And I think Sarah and Samuel ate the entire Artisanal Cheese Selection. Jeff and I had to fight for a bite. Lol.

Photo Blog : Stuffed Pancake Sandwich @ Drinkwallah in Animal Kingdom Park.

This was a large sandwich. My sister in law and I actually shared it and it filled us up for a while.

Very tasty and the guava paste added just the right amount of sweet.

I would not recommend using a quick meal credit on this. That was the only drawback. It is not a "snack" on the Dining Plan. I paid out of pocket for this instead of using a Quick Meal.

Photo Blog : Mexico Pavilion Marketplace In EPCOT
2014 vs 2024

I love the side by side shots of our family years apart. They were cute then and cute now :-)

I have clients that do this too. It is so fun to see your children enjoy new experiences as they get older but still remember and enjoy the things that made them smile when they were younger.

P.S. They grew but not that much.....The Mexico marketplace doesn't have the large sombreros anymore so Samuel and Sarah thought the picture would be cute with these little ones. LOL

Photo Blog : The Edison in Disney Springs.

We tried this restaurant on our last night over the summer. It was fantastic!!

Those who know Sarah will know that when I say she ate the entire "Tomato Soup and Gooey Grilled Cheese", that will tell you all you need to know. Usually I can't get her to order anything but macaroni and butter. Haha.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Everyone one of us loved our meals and the restaurant is very unique in its decor.

Photo Blog : Pools at the Value Resorts.

Pros (IMO) :
- Each pool is specially themed to that area of the resort.
- The pools were clean and not too crowded if you went to the quieter (but still nicely themed) pools.
- No matter where you stay in the resorts, you will have one close to your building.

Cons :
- No water slides and no hot tubs at any of the pools.
- Feature pools at these resorts tend to get a little crowded.

Overall, I did like the pools and loved the attention to detail. Kids will too. They will only miss the "extras" if they stayed at Moderate or Deluxe resorts in the past.

We booked the Individual Lightning Lane to make sure they had their best opportunity to do this. I chickened out because I am not a fan of the fast launch. I won't next time.
