Photo Blog : Up Close with Rhinos.
(Only 1 picture opportunity once we were back "on stage")

This was an absolutely amazing experience!!
A behind the scenes look at these magnificent animals.
We learned about other species of Rhinos and got to meet and touch a white rhinoceros.

Because Disney puts the safety of their animals and guests first, you may not always be able to touch them. Usually they love this attention and will gladly allow guests to get this close.

This experience is very popular, has a small group capacity and is only offered once a day. Because of this, you will likely need a 6 or 7 night, on site stay minimum and schedule it for your last day. Even though we typically stay for 6 or 7 nights, I still could not secure this for our school break trips. I was able to snag a reservation over this past summer.
Well worth the wait!!

Photo Bog : Viewing Charges and Dining Plan Activity on the My Disney Experience App

It is so easy to view the charges you send back to your room (using your Magic Band or Key Card) and your remaining Dining Plan entitlements on your MDE app.

On the home screen, you click the 3 lines on the bottom right, then scroll to "Hotel Reservations", then click either "Check Dining Plan" or "View Charges".

I also recommend looking over all receipts during the transaction but this is a great way to have visibility at a glance.

Photo Blog : Enchanted Rose @ Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Don't forget to visit the beautifully themed lounges with delicious food and unique beverage options.
We try to visit one on each trip.

The Enchanted Rose was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to get something to eat and drink before heading to the park one night.

I am still dreaming of those House-made Truffle Fries and Espresso Martini. And I think Sarah and Samuel ate the entire Artisanal Cheese Selection. Jeff and I had to fight for a bite. Lol.

Photo Blog : Stuffed Pancake Sandwich @ Drinkwallah in Animal Kingdom Park.

This was a large sandwich. My sister in law and I actually shared it and it filled us up for a while.

Very tasty and the guava paste added just the right amount of sweet.

I would not recommend using a quick meal credit on this. That was the only drawback. It is not a "snack" on the Dining Plan. I paid out of pocket for this instead of using a Quick Meal.

This was soooo adorable. Samuel and Sarah absolutely loved stopping to watch this feeding on our way out of the park.

2014 vs 2024

I love the side by side shots of our family years apart. They were cute then and cute now :-)

I have clients that do this too. It is so fun to see your children enjoy new experiences as they get older but still remember and enjoy the things that made them smile when they were younger.

P.S. They grew but not that much.....The Mexico marketplace doesn't have the large sombreros anymore so Samuel and Sarah thought the picture would be cute with these little ones. LOL

Photo Blog : The Edison in Disney Springs.

We tried this restaurant on our last night over the summer. It was fantastic!!

Those who know Sarah will know that when I say she ate the entire "Tomato Soup and Gooey Grilled Cheese", that will tell you all you need to know. Usually I can't get her to order anything but macaroni and butter. Haha.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Everyone one of us loved our meals and the restaurant is very unique in its decor.

Photo Blog : Pools at the Value Resorts.

Pros (IMO) :
- Each pool is specially themed to that area of the resort.
- The pools were clean and not too crowded if you went to the quieter (but still nicely themed) pools.
- No matter where you stay in the resorts, you will have one close to your building.

Cons :
- No water slides and no hot tubs at any of the pools.
- Feature pools at these resorts tend to get a little crowded.

Overall, I did like the pools and loved the attention to detail. Kids will too. They will only miss the "extras" if they stayed at Moderate or Deluxe resorts in the past.

Photo Blog : Oga's Cantina

This is such a special way to stop and have a fun drink I'm Hollywood Studios.
The drinks are a little pricey but you are there for the experience as well. If you are a Star Wars fan, this is a must do.

Note :
- Very little food on the menu and the charcuterie board shown was $32
- 90% of the capacity is standing (like a bar/watering hole) but if you have to sit you may be seated with other guests.
-2 drink maximum and 45 minute time limit.
-Reservations are highly recommended

Photo Blog : All Star Resorts.

There is so much I learned and loved about the All Star resorts during my last stay.

The rooms are small but very inviting and special. Highly themed and lots of cubby spaces to put your belongings. I will never stop saying that "Disney thinks of everything"

The pools were cute and strategically placed around each resort so you didn't have to go far no matter which section you stayed in.

Preferred rooms are a must if you have guests that would rather not to or can't walk far for the main building or a bus though.

Each All Star; Sports, Movies and Music (where I stayed), has dedicated busses. For the most part, you do not have to make multi stops like you do with the Moderate or some Deluxe resorts. That was really nice.
It was a longer drive but it was nice not to have other stops.

Your kids will absolutely love staying at the All Star Resorts. And you will love the convenience of staying on property without "breaking the bank".

Photo Blog : Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

This party is so much fun. What a unique way to experience Magic Kingdom park.

Fun decor, special meet and greets, party exclusive food, low wait time for attractions, Photopass Magic Shots (downloads included in your Memory Maker purchase) and the parade, fireworks and stage show were amazing!!

It's not too early to book a vacation package for next Fall. Then when they release the party tickets, I will be able to processes those immediately for you. In the past few years Disney has released tickets to guests staying on-site first.

Photo Blog : EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival - Emile's Formage Montage.

Disney thinks of everything!! I love this "adult" scavenger hunt around this delicious Festival.

You search for any 5 of the 10+ offerings. These appetizer sized options are definitely shareable and you end up trying things you might not have.
All were fantastic!! My stomach is rumbling right now thinking about them. Haha

I tried the Warm Raclette, Schinkennudein, Pumpkin Mascarpone Ravioli, Fig & Balsamic Cheesecake & the Griddled Cheese with pistachio and honey. Then I received a scavenger hunt prize. Blueberry soft serve Cheesecake ice cream in an adorable cup.

Side note - the Griddled Cheese was so good that I forgot to take a picture. Lol.

DinoLand U.S.A. Impacts Begin Jan. 13
Work on Tropical Americas continues with the installation of progress walls at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on Jan. 13. The last day of operations for TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures will be Jan. 12. During this time, DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites will remain open.

Update on “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure”
As we continue to look forward to “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure," at Disney’s Hollywood Studios we are taking the next steps and filing permits for an all-new marquee. Work on the exterior of the building will begin soon, in preparation for the premiere of this fully reimagined show in summer 2025. We look forward to sharing more details on this exciting new experience soon.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Temporary Closure
Following this holiday season, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will temporarily close for refurbishment beginning January 6, 2025. The attraction will reopen with a little bit of new magic in 2026.

Reminder: Jungle Cruise Reopening Oct. 16
Jungle Cruise will reopen on Oct. 16. The attraction will remain a treat location during the remaining Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties. And coming Nov. 2, Jingle Cruise returns!

Photo Blog : 1900 Park Fare
We had the pleasure to experience the new and improved 1900 Park Fare character meal during our summer trip.
I always said this breakfast buffet and Tusker House b/l/d buffets are my favorite on property....anywhere really.
I am not usually a fan of buffets but this one is fantastic. Huge variety, very fresh and the Strawberry Soup is out of this world.
The Characters are super fun too. They have a little surprise during your meal that feels very special and different from other character experiences.
Highly recommend!! Especially if you are on the Disney Dining Plan. Then you don't have to worry about the price of a character meal.

Phot Blog : TRON!! Watch for Samuel, Sarah and Jeff 4th and 5th rows back. They absolutely loved this attraction. We booked the Individual Lightning Lane to make sure they had their best opportunity to do this. I chickened out because I am not a fan of the fast launch. I won't next time.
