Clients ask me all the time, "What is the best age to bring your kids to Disney World".....my answer, "The age they are now".
2 & 6 or 14 & 18. Even the character meals are still fun.

Cinderella taught Sarah how to curtsey when she was 2 and she's still got it.

Samuel is sword fighting with his girlfriend now instead of his dad. ....but Jeff took the picture of them with the knight so I think he is OK with it. LOL

Photo Blog : Cinderella's Royal Table.

Most guests visit Cinderella's Royal Table for a chance to dine in the castle and meet some of your favorite princesses. I would also add that the culinary experience is just as impressive.

See some pictures below. I forgot to take pics of the apps but they were amazing too. I was too excited about my champagne flight (not included in pre fixe cost)
**Note - that is Cheesecake that Samuel is pointing at. So cute that they shaped it like Swiss cheese. And it was delish!!**

This is a Pre Fixe menu with a per person set price. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan you will use 2 dining credits per person.

Photo Blog : Unexpected Downpour = Unexpected Fun in the Germany Povilian.

When you see the dark clouds roll in and start to see some big sprinkles, assess where you are and find an interesting indoor option.

If you are walking World Showcase, I recommend you "duck" into the nearest country povilian's bar/gift shop and leave the ducks outside in the rain.

Most countries have a gift shop that sells snacks that are popularly sold in that actual country and most have a bar option...bonus!!

We purchased some beer and sparkling wine and had some potato snacks and chocolates.

It was super fun and nothing we planned for. The rain stopped after about 45 minutes and we made our way out.

Photo Blog : Chefs de France in EPCOT.

This restaurant is one of our family's favorite. I make sure to go back every couple of years because I recommend it to so many guests.

Every dish was amazing. Even Sarah's Mac and Cheese was an elevated version and mouth watering.
The Ratatouille was a solid vegetarian option.

Personally, I could dine on the baguette bread service, French Onion Soup and French Martinis alone.

Beginning Feb. 1, Disney Cruise Line will bring back Dine and Play in a phased approach across the fleet. This offering allows children to participate in fun and engaging activities while adults enjoy a leisurely dining experience.

Here are some reminders about this guest-favorite offering:

-Available for children ages 3-10 who are registered at The Oceaneer Club/Lab
-Only available for second dinner seating
-Dining room servers will ask guests if they are participating in Dine and Play
-Guests are responsible for bringing their child to the entrance of the dining room to meet the Youth Activities team between 9:00 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. for check in. The Youth Activities Counselors will then es**rt children to the Disney’s Oceaneer Club/Lab.

Dine and Play is returning to the Disney Cruise Line fleet in a phased approach:

Feb. 1: Disney Treasure and Disney Dream
Feb. 2: Disney Fantasy and Disney Magic
Feb. 3: Disney Wonder and Disney Wish

Photo Blog : Adventureland and Frontierland Snacks.

When we visit Magic Kingdom we love stopping for some yummy snacks in these two Lands.

Whether it is Pineapple or Strawberry Dole Whip (our favorite flavors), Churros with Chocolate Sauce, Corndog bites, frozen Cola or my new favorite...Beignets with powdered sugar and warm honey....all serve as a unique vacation treat.

**side note** I had to search for a Beignet picture online because they were so yummy I forgot to take a picture on this trip.

There are a lot of new adventures planned at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – from monsters and mermaids to villains and more. There’s huge excitement around the new Monsters, Inc-themed land and more details were shared today about timelines for that area of the park.

Construction on the land is ready to begin and progress walls begin installation in the area before the end of March. This means that Cast at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano will serve their final Guests on May 10.

As for Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, Guests will have some additional time to enjoy these areas as we kick-off a glorious 5-month finale before these areas have their final curtain call on June 7.

It’s no secret that the Muppets have a special place in our hearts and we are exploring ways to preserve the Muppet*Vision 3D film and other parts of the experience for generations to come. And don’t forget! Kermit, Miss Piggy and friends are soon headed just across the park to their new home on Sunset Boulevard. More to come about that timeline.

So many fantastic Character Experiences and unique Attractions in Hollywood Studios Park.

I loved that some Characters where holding impromptu meetings and calling people from the crowd to interact with. Having a younger child probably would get you the edge but my "big kids" got some attention too.

Always tons of fun on Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, Tower of Terror, Rock'n Roller Coaster, Star Wars : Rise of the Resistance and so many more Attraction experiences.

Photo Blog : Disney's Boardwalk

What a beautiful area to either stay or visit during your Disney World trip.

Jeff and I let the kids go back to our resort after a long morning at Hollywood Studios and he and I hopped on a water taxi. We got off at the Swan & Dolphin and walked to the Boardwalk.

It was such a lovely walk, we tried the new Corndog stand and saw the new Cake Bake shop. The Corndogs are ginormous. Definitely sharable. He and I couldn't even finish the "pickle dog" that we got. It was tasty but very messy and HUGE.

Everyone thinks Disney is "go, go, go" but when you have a nice long stay, you can experience the more relaxing parts of it too.

Photo Blog : Jock Lindsay's Hanger Bar.

This bar in Disney Springs is so unique. It is themed after Indiana Jones' pilot. It was so cool to see all the decor and the "Light Bites" menu was anything but Light.

We dined on :
- Air Pirate's Cargo Loaded Pretzel
-Bread Dip Pyramid (2 of these. We gobbled the first up in no time)
and
-Mine Car Meatballs

We even got to eat in the Diving Bell. So special!!

What a great way to take a shopping break in Disney Springs.

Photo Blog : Backlot Express & ABC Commissary in Hollywood Studios.

It's not all "burgers and fries" when you order a Quick Meal. Jeff and I enjoyed some great options at Backlot Express and ABC commissary. Check out the Southwest Chicken Salad and Terryaki Chicken Bowl we absolutely loved. A couple of yummy drinks on the side too ;-) they come with the Adult Quick Meals.

The Arugala Farro salad can be ordered as a Snack credit or with chicken as a Children's Quick Meal with 2 sides.

Photo Blog : Up Close with Rhinos.
(Only 1 picture opportunity once we were back "on stage")

This was an absolutely amazing experience!!
A behind the scenes look at these magnificent animals.
We learned about other species of Rhinos and got to meet and touch a white rhinoceros.

Because Disney puts the safety of their animals and guests first, you may not always be able to touch them. Usually they love this attention and will gladly allow guests to get this close.

This experience is very popular, has a small group capacity and is only offered once a day. Because of this, you will likely need a 6 or 7 night, on site stay minimum and schedule it for your last day. Even though we typically stay for 6 or 7 nights, I still could not secure this for our school break trips. I was able to snag a reservation over this past summer.
Well worth the wait!!
