Our silvertips grow naturally on our tree farm at 8000 ft. elevation (near Yosemite National Park). Silvertips are a true high elevation fir and are commonly known as the Red Fir (Abies Magnifica.) We do not use cloned trees so every tree is

unique. Silvertips are slower growing than most other species used as Christmas trees. The Silvertips slow growth makes them a rare Christmas tree and not commonly found like the Douglas Fir. There are a number of reasons why the Silvertip Christmas tree is more special than any other Christmas tree. Maybe it's because of family tradition, the silvery tips, the rarity of the tree or maybe it's the overall experience that these beautiful trees bring to your home. Silvertip Christmas trees have been a traditional favorite, with there long lasting value, and sturdy limbs to hold your precious ornaments.

General information about shipping and tree care, all tree's are wrapped, boxed and shipped with UPS. You can check shipping cost without putting the tree into your cart. Shipping time take 1-2 days to California and 7-8 days ground for East coast. If you're concerned about you tree's travel distance and longer time frame, consider 3 day shipping or 2 day when ordering. Many select 3 day shipping when they want a shorter time frame for shipments to arrive and to insure arrival before important dates. Another good point about 3 day order shipping they're hardly ever delayed. Silvertip Red Fir tree's are hardy, they grow at high elevation and will do well over the 7-8 day shipping period. If the tree is delayed a couple days it will be fine. Delays happen because of weather or Christmas crunch time. Once tree arrives unwrap, shake and cut two inches off the trunk and put into a a bucket, it will be thirsty and a bit stressed. It might take a lot of water so please don't let it run dry. Or you have to start over with a fresh cut. Please don't ever let the stump dry out. Once it's in the house a automatic tree waterer is a good idea. Keep away from heat sources and all windows and never light real candles, ever! Use new incandescent lights they won't dry the tree like older lights. Taking 3 photos of each tree for 2nd batch of trees November 15th at noon. Tree’s are kept in water until they are shipped. Cool weather helps keep them fresh. Cut 1-2 inches off trunk and keep in cool place until you’re ready to decorate.
