During the summer, minor league baseball team Arkansas Travelers makes the popular American pastime memorable for all ages at Dickey-Stephens Park.
If you’re traveling with kids, round out your summer stay with a sun-filled day at Arkansas’ largest water park, Wild River Country. The 26-acre park offers non-stop fun with a variety of slides and water attractions.

Fall color: the best place for fall color is Burns Park, a 1,700-acre park. The south side lines the Arkansas River and connects to the Arkansas River Trail, a scenic 15-mile loop for cyclists and pedestrians. Follow the trail across the Big Dam Bridge, the world’s longest pedestrian and cycling bridge built for that purpose, or across the Clinton Presidential Bridge to the Clinton Presidential Center.
Winter
Central Arkansas’ largest indoor shopping center McCain Mall and its neighbor Lakewood Village are perfect for shoppers looking for holiday gifts! Enjoy local restaurants and event see a movie.

Year-Round
Surprisingly, most things you can do in North Little Rock, you can do no matter the season! Here are a few highlights.
Film fanatics will appreciate the Old Mill, a 1930’s replica of an 1800s gristmill presumed to be the last standing structure from Gone with the Wind. Free to the public, the park is full of natural beauty and the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. Don’t be surprised if you see brides-to-be, families and prom dates mid-photo-session in the mill or on one of the park’s beautifully sculpted bridges.
Visit the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum, the only place other than Honolulu, Hawaii, to have two Naval vessels from the beginning and end of World War II. Experience firsthand how men lived aboard the longest-serving submarine in the world, USS Razorback (SS-394) and see the National Historic Landmark USS Hoga, a tugboat that fought fires on Battleship Row for 72 continuous hours in Pearl Harbor. The museum and submarine are open year-round – and both of heating and air-conditioning.
Every year Verizon Arena brings in big name musicians; past acts include Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Janet Jackson, Tim McGraw and Bruno Mars. The Joint Comedy Theater & Coffeehouse hosts improv groups and local musicians every week with original comedies on weekends.
To get a beautiful overall tour of the area, hop on the vintage-style METRO streetcars. Get on and off whenever to browse shops, eat, try local breweries and explore both North Little Rock and Little Rock’s thriving downtown districts.
