Back Woods Rentals has had a wonderful few days hosting Chris Lunsford aka Oliver Anthony and a group of friends. We appreciate his stay with us and hope that everyone had a great time on their tour with Chris Strong and Coal Country Outfitter's LLC. Thank you to our staff for working very hard preparing for his arrival. Thank you to Sherry Hill for preparing a delicious breakfast for Oliver Anthony and his crew. Much appreciation to Korie Nealis and family with Apex Powersorts and Relentless Industries, Draven Riffe owner radiowv, Steve the Canadian videographer for filming this tour, Ben Palmer and other friends for joining in. We had a wonderful time and a wonderful visit. Hope to see everyone again soon! Check out Oliver Anthony’s music. He is a very kind and talented man.

Many years ago a young man named Chris Strong was introduced to us ( Larry and Theresa Akers) by a mutual friend! Chris had a booming personality and a dream of one day creating a touring business! He loves trail riding and wanted to offer rides to folks to explore the beautiful mountains and endless sites of West Virginia,Kentucky and Virginia! He asked us here at Back Woods Rentals if we could help him and offer clean affordable lodging for these rides! So together we all worked hard and Chris brought Coal Country Outfitter's LLC to life! All of us stand together and support each other! We are so proud of Chris! We are so excited that he has decided to move to West Virginia here with us and go full time! Glad we could help provide you with this golden opportunity! Chris we LOVE YOU and will always be here to stand by you (our son) and support you and looking forward to working with you daily! So therefore if anyone out there is looking for a great ride with a wonderful guide please reach out to Chris and Coal Country Outfitters LLC because you won’t be disappointed!

Tonight we Larry and Theresa Akers and staff of Back Woods Rentals are saddened to hear of the passing of a wonderful friend and faithful customer Mike Chinsolo! He will be missed but not forgotten! Mike was well known in the riding community he loved it and had a zest for life! We ask all who knew him to please pray for peace and comfort for his daughter Angel Edward Thum and his grandchildren and great grandchild and other family as they mourn his passing! Much Love to all! We truly loved Mike and he and I celebrate the same birthdays as I will miss his message on my birthday telling me all great people were born on July 21! As I hold back the tears making this post as we are heartbroken it just so hard to believe you are gone! Mike will always hold a special place in our hearts! Goodbye to our dear friend! We won’t ever forget your bubbly personality and big ole smile! Heaven gained a great man!

Well friends the season has come to an end for Chris Strong and Coal Country Outfitter's LLC guided rides! It’s has been a pleasure hosting these rides here at Back Woods Rentals! We have enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones! Thank you to everyone who joined these rides and stayed with us! Please keep a lookout for the 2024 rides that we will be posting up soon! Well it was an eventful weekend here at Back Woods Rentals! So good to see my adopted sons and their wives Tim Owens and Jennifer also Nicholas Sharrett and Michelle! Nick and Buckeye Trailblazers and other friends rode in on their machines for some overnight visits and sight seeing! It was great to see old friends and meet new ones! Thanks to all who rode in and stayed! Hope everyone had a great time! Thanks Steve Grote and Amy for the goodies for Braxton he loved them! We appreciate each and everyone of you!To some of you we will see you soon! To others please come back at anytime! Happy Trails!!!’

Back Woods Rentals would like to give a special thanks to Chris Strong with Coal Country Offroad LLC and Chris and Cheri Harper with Virginia Hooligunz Off-road and everyone who came up and spent the weekend with us! So glad everyone got to ride the beautiful mountains in the warm weather and of course the snowy weather! We are looking forward to the next ride and we appreciate everyone! It was a pleasure meeting new people and spending time with old friends! There was even a marriage proposal! Thanks to all, hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a great ride!
