This person is a hard-working individual who will embody our values while maintaining the supreme cleanliness of our homes. This person will manage a small group of housekeepers in Myrtle Beach, SC and work closely with the local management team.

While this position is considered part-time, you may have the opportunity to obtain full-time employment based on your skill set and the company’s growth. Hours can and will vary weekly and seasonally based on business needs.

What you’ll do

Professionally clean and maintain Vacasa properties using cleaning procedures and products in conformance with prescribed company standards
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing all surfaces
Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind
Assist with laundry as needed
Create a welcoming environment for our guests and owners by ensuring homes are clean and cared for
Assist with scheduling, distribution of tickets, ordering and organizing supplies, as assigned by the manager
Provide input on performance evaluations, resolving problems, and implementing disciplinary action with assistance from your manager and Human Resources
Identify and note any damages to homes. Create maintenance tickets as necessary
Manage, mentor, train, and support a small group of Housekeepers
Ensure the housekeeping staff follows through on assignments and provide guidance on work methods and routines such as follow the wall, standard unit of appearance, and reporting damage.
Perform inspections of cleans completed by Housekeepers
Touch-up cleans as needed
Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members and management team
Correspond on a regular basis with your local management team and team members
Be available and willing to assist your colleagues and management team when necessary
Provide cross-coverage for your manager and Co-Lead Housekeeper(s) when necessary
Collect and remove trash and debris
Meet and maintain required Housekeeping metrics
Attend all mandatory individual and team meetings
Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products
Maintain hot tubs as needed; no experience necessary - we offer on-site training
Other responsibilities as assigned - because every day looks different

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Runner with a knack for fixing things to help out our guests. The Maintenance Runner position will assist in the maintenance needs of all Vacasa properties. You will spend your days traveling conducting basic maintenance in our homes. Coming to the rescue of our guests by diagnosing urgent issues in our homes and helping support the guest operations team.

What you’ll do

Expect the unexpected, no day is the same and it will be spent traveling, performing basic maintenance and tasks in our homes. Flexibility and adaptability is a must.
Work as part of our operations team to support the day to day, running keys and coming to the rescue of any team member in need!
Remove trash from homes
Run linens to Housekeepers
Use your basic knowledge of maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, fixing blinds and changing light-bulbs.
Bring your skills and interest to learn home repairs including appliance trouble-shooting, cable/wifi troubleshooting, basic knowledge of HVAC systems and light plumbing [like fixing a leaky sink].
Correspond on a regular basis via email and phone with the Local team and Central team.
Order, maintain and replenish maintenance supplies and inventory.

The skills you’ll need

Communicator: proactively communicate with our guests, owners, housekeeping team, maintenance team and local/central teams via email, phone, and in person.
Problem Solver: at Vacasa, we always seek to head problems off at the pass, but chaos theory prevails and we can't pre-solve for everything. When something doesn't go according to plan, you will need to go into action and work with teams across Vacasa to turn problems into opportunities.
Can do/will do attitude: when guests are on vacation, we are our busiest. A willingness to help when needed is essential. This will include weekends and holidays.
Natural born leader: as a Maintenance Runner, you will need to take charge and rescue the tasks at hand. Your ability to think on your feet, be collective with your thoughts and have a positive way of interacting with others is essential.
Computer Savvy: Our custom developed management software has set Vacasa apart as an industry leader. We use our system to manage all aspects of our business. While we will never ask you to do any coding, we will want you to be very comfortable using a computer. If you commonly find yourself saying, "I bet I can get on youtube and figure out how to do that.", you'll be just fine.
Highly Organized: This position requires balancing competing priorities on a day to day and minute by minute basis. Perform all cooking tasks in compliance with company standards and approved recipes to achieve excellent guest service and satisfaction.
Properly fill orders placed by the front of the house Associates, doing so in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner. Keep front of the house Associates informed of items running out in a timely manner to protect the guest experience.
Ensure that the kitchen area and all its equipment are clean and in proper working condition. Maintain cleanliness and order in all coolers as well as freezers and ensure proper rotation of perishable products.
Properly follow all health department requirements and make sure all products are stored and kept in a safe and sanitary fashion. Do not use products if you doubt its freshness.
Address service staff concerns promptly and appropriately to ensure guests leave the restaurant satisfied.
Follow all opening and closing procedures and checklists. Perform all necessary cleaning assignments.

The skills you’ll need

Must be detail oriented and able to work independently
Ability to read and comprehend routine instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to give high priority to customer service
Must be able to solve problems with a minimum of supervision
Must be able to read, write and understand English
Small appliances and kitchen tools knowledge
Basic knowledge of inventory and rotation of food
Serve Safe Certification a plus
6-12 months recent cooking experience preferred, preferably in a high volume operation

Work environment and physical demands

Must be able to work week days and weekends, holidays and some on-call hours
Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
Reach overhead and below the waist
Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist

Compensation:

$15.00/hour
