All units are recently remodeled and have ceramic tile with carpeted bedrooms and a flat screen TV with basic cable. All u

nits have full kitchens and full bathrooms and are equipped with individual climate control central heat and air, along with ceiling fans. Our guests can enjoy our picturesque outdoor seating areas, tiki huts, beachside barbecue area, heated pool and whirlpool bath. Whether you opt for a gulf front, poolside or courtyard view, every unit at The Islander is just steps from the beach. Each unit has it's own unique view and one thing is for sure, the last thing you'll see just before you walk inside your unit and the first thing you'll see as you walk out of your unit is the beautiful white sandy beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Greetings ISLANDERS! Can we believe that it is almost SEPTEMBER? Even here there is occasionally a cool breeze that feels like it could be Autumn...but it's NOT - it's still SUMMER!!
We have a vacancy next week - Aug 31 - Sep 7 - 2 bedroom upstairs - and Sep 14-21 - one bdrm upstairs GULF FRONT!
We ended up with a vacant unit this week and we dont like to waste this valuable space!!

Rainy day here in Paradise - so I thought I'd check-in with you all re: Check-ins n outs, DOS N DON'TS!
Check-in is officially at or after 3pm. Early check-ins are available as rooms are cleaned and readied. Rob has maintenance checks and I do kitchen inventory on Saturday. THE ORDER ROOMS ARE READy DEPENDS ON CHECK-OUTS. Some folks leave early - if we know you're out - we can clean those rooms starting at 9am. How do we know you're gone? Perhaps you told us during the week you were driving away at dawn or had an early flight. You could drop room keys in the mail slot in the back office door. We DO NOT recommend using the mail box - it is not secure and not intended as a key drop. If you are staying a second week and have to move to another unit please ready your belongings but LEAVE YOUR LUGGAGE IN YOUR UNIT until your MOVE-IN is cleaned. Communication with the staff is so important! Make sure we know you are moving - sometimes ownership and usage are not as clear on paper. If you know that certain guests have already left please let us know. Check-out time is 10am. If you need extra time just ask! The cleaning crew can only work on a few units at once so some are first and some are last. We want to accommodate as much as possible. That's it. Long message. Short week!

Never thought I'd say - IF YOU NEED TO BEAT THE SUMMER HEAT...come to Florida?? Of course we are better set up to deal with it - Gulf Breeze, swimming pool, shade of a tiki hut...PARADISE!!
I hope our Northern Islander families are keeping cool in some other way - maybe by watching the Stanley Cup?? Go FLORIDA PANTHERS but of course cheers to our Canadian Islander families - go Edmonton Oilers! One more thing - a one bedroom unit available to RENT July 6-13 - late cancellation - Paradise awaits! NEWS from Paradise: in case you are seeing reports that FLORIDA is flooding - we are not getting the quantity of rain that is falling as close as Sarasota and all the way over to Miami. Week 23 has NOT been rained out - and GOOD THING - THEY WIN - the most people in the pool and pool toys! Please note it is NOT a contest! Please enjoy The Islander in your own way...family friends and FUN!

Middle of MAY - NO WAY!!? It feels like summer here - the humidity is up, the rains are here - scary gust of wind this morning uprooted ALL the beach umbrellas and had Rob and Kevin scrambling to retrieve - some were in the water! But of course The Islander is still PARADISE!
And paradise has a VACANCY next week - tomorrow - a one bedroom for May 18-25.

SPRING BREAK ANYONE? Last minute deals are available here at THE ISLANDER!
I have a 2 bedroom, gulf front for next week Mar 30 - Apr 6.
A 2 bdrm as well as 2 one bdrms for the following week Apr 6-13.
and a one bedroom each of the next two weeks Apr 13- 20 - 27th.
These were last-minute cancellations so it would be nice to get someone in to enjoy this beautiful weather! Florida at its finest!! (Weather NOT guaranteed - but beach vibe IS!)

WE'RE FLORIDA AGAIN! Meaning the sun came back, with a cooling breeze and it's been a wonderful week for our vacationing visitors!

There was some sad news for The Islander family going back a few years - former owner Gus Hendrickson, known to many here this week - has passed away. Peaceful thoughts to him and the family he leaves behind.

To those of you in Winterland - keep warm! To those lucky to be here at the beach - REST, RELAX, UNWIND...

CRAZY WEATHER! Ok - that's an overreaction - this is FLORIDA and sometimes we have winter, too...it hasn't been very nice for WEEKS but the beach is the beach and the HOTTUB is HOT!
We do have some rental availability Jan 28- Feb 3 and also Feb 3- 10 and Feb 17- 24, if you need a break from REAL winter!!!

Greetings ISLANDERS! It's chilly and raining here this morning but the hot tub is hot and the pool is heated so I'm still promoting our availability! There is a downstairs one bdrm available Dec 30 - JAN 6 (week 52 starts THIS Saturday!) and there are two one bdrms (one up, one downstairs) available JAN 6 - 13 (officially WEEK 1 of the Timeshare calendar!!) so if you need a BEACH fix let me know!

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING, ISLANDERS!
We're weathering another storm here - VERY WINDY this morning!! The overnight brought waves onto the pool deck but no damage or flooding. Winter can be so exciting here!! Would you like to experience this?? UNIT 19 is available THIS and NEXT week - through the 3oth of December. 2 bedrooms and that extra long living room make it a favorite spot. There's also a 2 bedroom upstairs open Dec 23-30.
Maye you're a local owner with too many house guests?? Come stay here - or send them...the beach is FUN at any season!!

We're a bit quiet this week having had a few last minute cancellations due to "emergencies" and it just makes me think as we move towards the holidays how fragile life is and how unexpected things happen - HOLIDAYS or not!
Peace reigns supreme here at the Islander - for the MOST part...
Next week, DEC 9-16, there are 2, 2 bedroom, units available...if anyone needs a "peace" break!!

Happy Monday, Islanders! The Annual meeting went smoothly, the Board was re-elected, the budget is set and the property is sound!
I keep advertising the units available next week - NOV 4-11 - 3 one bedrooms...but now I also have everybody's favorite #19 available NOV 11-18 - 2 BDRM!! Who needs a spontaneous ISLANDER VACAY??

AUTUMN IS HERE!!! It's official - the air is different and the temps have tempered!! I was just in NY for a few days and the Fall colors were gorgeous...but here the Palm trees are a constant, gently swaying....Enough poetry - WE HAVE UNITS TO RENT!

Please return your Green proxies and marked ballots for the BoD vote. We must receive a majority of the voting interest - more than 1/2 of the owners need to respond or attend in order to hold our Annual Meeting.

Fall has arrived!! The temp dropped into the 60's this morning but we've recovered to 70 already! It's a great look to have a sweatshirt on at the beach and still be barefoot - That's The Islander LIFE!!
Forecast is to be warmer all week - Welcome to the northerners already escaping the chill of approaching Winter.

Wanna see the green flash? They say they saw it a couple times this past week, so we were hopeful to get a glimpse tonight. Beautiful Evening, Beautiful Sunset, But No Green Flash. Damn it. But take a peek as the day comes to an end. Pure Awesomeness!
