2024 was amazing, but we're just getting started!

We are very excited to introduce you to our new Executive Chef, Angela Chandler. As many of you know, we unexpectedly loss our dear friend, Chef Cleo in October. We have been heartbroken at her loss but we truly believe that God has brought Angela to us. The staff has connected with Angela wonderfully and we can't wait for you all to meet her soon! We will be serving lunch in the Winery each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11:00-3:00 until we reopen for the garden season at the end of March. Watch for the return of Candlelight Dinners soon! Chef Angela is working on the menus and we'll have them released soon!

Angela Chandler now serves as the Executive Chef at Stream Cliff Farm’s Restaurant, a treasured part of Indiana’s oldest herb farm. With a lifelong passion for food and nearly three decades of professional kitchen experience, Angela brings dedication and creativity to her role, honoring the restaurant’s rich tradition while introducing her own fresh perspective.

Angela began her culinary journey at the age of 14, working in kitchens while steadily building her expertise. Her degree from Indiana University Bloomington provided a solid foundation in understanding food safety, health, nutrition, and the science behind creating exceptional meals. Over the years, she has worked in diverse culinary settings, from small family-owned establishments to large global corporations, but her true passion lies in farm-to-table dining.

For Angela, cooking is more than a profession—it’s a way of life. When she’s not in the kitchen at Stream Cliff Farm, she can often be found experimenting with recipes at home, reading about food history and culture, or listening to culinary podcasts. Above all, she treasures time spent with her young daughter and is inspired by the flavors and stories that make each meal memorable.

In her role at Stream Cliff Farm Restaurant, Angela is committed to preserving the restaurant’s beloved heritage while adding her own creative touch to continue its legacy as a cherished destination for visitors near and far.

Christmas in The City of North Vernon, Indiana starts tonight at 5:30! Remember to bring your letter to mail to Santa Claus. The Grinch movie is located in City Hall. There will be a raffle for a chance to win four bikes after the movie!

On November 23rd, 2024 the North Vernon Vet-to-Vet is hosting a "Thanksgiving Give-Back" in which they provide a complete family meal for veterans and community families in need at Entourage Celebration & Event Center from 2pm-7pm.

"The primary mission of North Vernon Vet to Vet is to aid veterans and their families as they strive to build better lives. To fully restore the Warrior Spirit by bridging the gap between those who serve and those whom they served. We will be giving out turkeys, hams, stuffing, mixed greens, canned yams, gravy, potatoes, etc this weekend during this event. We are focused on assisting not only our Vets, but also their families and our community. We can only meet our goals with the assistance of community members like yourself. Our mission is to help veterans understand their issues and provide information and resources that can improve their lives and family environment."
