Cancelling all runs Friday (02/14/25).

Due to the current weather forecast, we have decided to cancel all runs tomorrow. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for understanding that we would run if we felt it safe to do so. Contact us directly with any questions at 244-3575.

Update for Thursday & Friday

Planning to run our normal schedule tomorrow. Friday is not looking promising due to the current forecast. We’ll add an update here on this post tomorrow when we decide about running on Friday.

02/07/25 Update:

Based on the current forecast for tomorrow, we have decided to cancel our 11am run. We are planning to run at 7:30am & 3:30pm. We do ask everyone please be on time and ready to board quickly. Thank you!

& we will be running mail. 🙂

3:30pm run may be slightly late today (2/05/25)*

Our provider for fuel didn’t have the right nozzle to fuel us up this morning. He’s headed back to the boat to fuel us up prior to the 3:30 run. We should still be on time, but if not, know we’re on our way!

We want to thank all who have helped us continue services as much as possible and we’d like to thank the community for your understanding & patience.
Tomorrow’s weather is not looking great especially around our 3:30pm run. With that said, it is SW and we are still planning to run our normal winter schedule.

If you haven’t seen our other post, all of our other runs are cancelled until (potentially) Friday afternoon.

Update for this this afternoon - Friday:
All runs cancelled until (potentially) Friday afternoon.

The issue with the steering pump is being addressed but the part needed won’t get here until Friday. The Double B is unable to run until we get this part installed so we have to cancel all runs tomorrow as well as the 7:30am & 11:am Friday. We are looking into outsourcing for both mail and or passenger runs but all of the quotes we have gotten so far are not financially sustainable for us. If we are able to find something we will post an update.

We’re unable to get mail out today. Depending on the 3:30pm running Friday, we may be able to then. We did hire out for it yesterday and we thank the Cadillac water taxi for their service.

Again, we’re sorry we can’t do more at this time. We’d like nothing more than to resume services. We are excited that the Sea Queen will be back in the water in a few weeks and ready for work!

Update for tomorrow (1/15/25).
The 7:30am is cancelled. We’re not confident that the issue will be fixed by then and we’d prefer to give everyone as much notice as possible.
We are hoping to resume services in time to run the 11am tomorrow. We will post another update when we know more.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We do apologize the inconvenience these cancellations cause. Please know we are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Update:
11am is also canceled. We are not sure on the 3:30 but will post when we know more.

All runs canceled today (1/14/25).
Unfortunately while getting the Double B ready for the 7:30am trip it lost its steering.
As a result we are unable to run any trips today. We hope to get the issue fixed soon and will post an update later today.

* 7:30am run is delayed due to a small mechanical hiccup - they just got done working on it and are leaving now.

Edit: we are able to run the 3:30pm tomorrow Sunday 1/5/25. 7:30am is still canceled.

Joes been delayed in NC due to car troubles and hasn’t been able to find a replacement for tomorrow. He’ll be back Sunday Night but not in time for the afternoon run. We understand this is deeply frustrating and we send out our sincere apologies.

All runs canceled tomorrow (Thursday 12/19)

Today we experienced an unforseen mechanical issue with the Double B and we will need to spend tomorrow taking care of it. We plan to resume normal schedule Friday (hoping sooner but can’t count on it) and will keep everyone posted.
We apologize for the inconvenience this causes you all. Unfortunately the Sea Queen is still out of the water so we’re unable to use it right now.

We will update this post with any new info.
