We are honored to announce that Kimberly Hall, Mrs. Lone Star and a shining example of excellence among our host moms, has been recognized as the runner-up in the prestigious Mrs. Plus America pageant! Her achievement serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of empowerment and the boundless potential within every individual. Kimberly’s host daughter, Margaux, was lucky to have her as a bonus mom for 8 weeks this summer!
Kimberly shared, “What an AMAZING experience! Last night I was named 1st Runner Up to Mrs. Plus America 2024!
I look back at these moments and am so grateful to have embarked on this journey with so many amazing women! If I were to go back in time to tell little Kimberly that she’d not only compete in a national pageant but that she’d be standing at the FINALE moment… I’d never have believed myself. As I shared in my Miss Plus America Pageant interview on Wednesday, I want to be an example for women my age that it is OK to pursue ANY dream… the dreams you put on hold to be a wife or mother… the dreams you thought were out of reach… the dreams you didn’t even know you had but are now currently tugging at your heart and your spirit to fulfill. I hope that I have been that example for you as you have followed this journey. I appreciate everyone’s support along the way! 🫶

Summer isn’t quite over for our visitors! The Hall family said goodbye-for-now to their French student Margaux, who had such a good time that she asked to extend her trip - twice!
The Halls said: “It was a summer full of adventures for this Frenchie-girl! 🇫🇷 With cotton candy grapes and chick-fil-a in her carryon, she’s headed back to France! We love you Margaux! 🫶😘 Safe travels!”

Part of my job as a YPC is to do some background research and I was so shocked that she was Mrs Wisconsin. She was so sweet to have us over for the welcome party and after Alexandre left she had one day and then she was off for Mrs USA !

“We had a wonderful time with Margaux! The weather wasn’t ideal (non stop rain) but we didn’t let that stop us. She was so sweet and we loved sharing our lives with her . She is really good at Pictionary and kicked our butts nightly. Definitely will be doing it again next summer.”

The Rice family has been loving their first summer hosting a boy! Florian has been the perfect addition to their sweet Texas family! From host mom Casey: We've been busy with a variety of fun activities recently. We've enjoyed putt-putt at Rikenjacks last night. Florian and I explored Gator County together. We've kept active with numerous workouts In my gym and conditioning camp. We had a fun swim at Noelle's Blue Hole. His first golf experience was filled with so much laughter because he would die laughing when he missed the ball making us all laugh. We’ve played countless rounds of soccer where he has enjoyed the time at Brynleigh’s soccer practice and practicing anytime he can. This week is our last week and we are excited to see what we can get into.

Why should you host a summer student?

Host sister Shaylee shared what she loved about having Louise as her summer sister! Three weeks of bonding and fun flew by, but these girls were quick besties and are already planning their next adventure together! It’s not too late to get in on the fun!! Host families are still needed in Kenosha Wisconsin, Salt Lake City, and the Greater Seattle/Snohomish County area of Washington!!
