Well, we woke up to five below zero this morning and a frozen lake. It’s a little late, but it should put on ice pretty pretty fast.

Pretty nice moon tonight coming up I believe we’ll start forming nice this week even though the lake is taking its time freezing up this year

Well, there signs of summer showing up with the lady slippers blooming, and the snapping turtles laying eggs and the chipping sparrows are in the nest just about ready to pop out

I know many of us saw them, but I thought we would share the light show. God put on last night was something to be seen it’s not very often. You can see northern lights even looking south over and all around us.

Goofy little squirrels showed up last night, but decided to come back today to visit again

Had to take a double take to make sure the lake was still open. Iol and it is so rest assured openers only a few weeks away.

Island is trying to shed its ice we’ve made some progress today as the crack actually has whitecaps in it, and is chewing its way through the ice here we go openers not far away
