Just Booked! A weekend getaway to downtown Chicago for a lucky couple. They had to cancel their 2024 spring break and had a travel credit to use. ✈️ After many attempts and roadblocks, we got it used!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

Wow! Super fun honeymoon just booked. A former student (2010ish) contacted me for help planning a Hawaiian 🌺 honeymoon.

After listening to their wants, I immediately contacted my dear friend, the Hawaii expert. We put together an amazing itinerary (4 flights, 1 transfer, 3 islands, 3 hotels, 2 convertibles, 6 excursions, plus some extras). ✈️

If Amsterdam isn’t on your travel list, it should be!!! Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, is a city with a rich history, culture, and beauty. It's known for its museums, canals, parks, and bike-friendly streets. (Pay attention to the 🚲- yikes!) Amsterdam has 165 canals, which is why it's sometimes called the "Venice of the North.” The Netherlands is the world's largest exporter of beer, and Amsterdam is home to Heineken. 🍺

There is so much to see and do. Canal cruise, the Anne Frank House/Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, Dam Square, street markets, parks, Rijksmuseum, Heineken tours, and so much more.

You can add an Amsterdam excursion before or after a cruise or as part of a European exploration or as a stand alone vacation.

TSA Begins Accepting Online Passports As ID (by Cheryl Rosen)

Online passports have taken a step forward with the broad roll out of a Google Wallet application. Travelers now can upload a passport and just show their phones as ID at TSA checkpoints across the United States.

Even Google cautions that the technology, which went into beta in September and rolled out on Friday, is still "in its early stages." And there are a few caveats: Online passports are acceptable as ID at TSA checkpoints for domestic travel only, and do not replace paper passport books or cards for international travel. For now, even Google advises carrying a paper passport book or card as backup just in case. And the Google wallet is available only on Android phones, not iPhones. Still, though, it's a step toward a digital future that finally will let us stop asking that last question as we get into our Ubers to the airport: "Does everyone have their passport?"
To try the new system, open the Google Wallet app on your Android phone and select the prompt that reads "create an ID pass with your US passport." Then just scan the security chip in your passport and take a selfie video to verify your identity. In a few minutes, you'll get a notice that your ID pass is ready.

Digital IDs increasingly are being used on the state level; more than half of all states (27 states and Puerto Rico, with New Mexico joining the list this month), and airports including JFK International Airport in New York, Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International, currently accept digital IDs in Google Wallet and/or Apple Wallet. And in September, the State Department rolled out online passport application processing.

As I wait for a delayed flight at Miami airport, I reflect on my 10-day trip to the British Virgin Islands. My initial reaction is "wow." As someone who loves traveling, I can attest that the journey is just as important as the destination.

This luxury vacation exceeded my expectations, providing an experience that cannot be captured in photographs. I was so engrossed in activities that I rarely posted updates. Some memorable moments include snorkeling with sea turtles, hiking across picturesque islands, and enjoying a bonfire with s’mores. Other highlights include paddleboarding in vibrant waters, trying an e-foil, and relishing fresh cuisine prepared by a talented chef. Sailing between islands, sleeping amidst gentle waves, and enjoying rejuvenating massages at Sabo Rock were equally impressive. I

I am deeply grateful to Charlie and Stephanie Trott for this incredible vacation. It will be a challenge to top this experience. And I will never view Oreos the same again.

Food post! Seriously, it does NOT get better than this. The crew on the Colibri goes above and beyond in every way. What “special touches” do you notice in the pictures???

The chef made everything by hand with the freshest ingredients. Breakfast, lunch, happy hour snack, dinner, desserts. Kristiann was very creative and very healthy. Even the cocktails were healthy (er) than most.

Leg 2. Most unbelievable adventure! We are on a 67 foot yacht sailing the Caribbean. This is what dreams are made of. We boarded at 11:00 and sailed to Money Bay on the north side of Norman Island where we anchored. Snorkeling, eating, drinking, laughing, hot tubbing, floating, and relaxing were the highlights today. First class luxury. There is a captain, a chef, and an activities director.
