Genie + & Lightning Lane(new name for fast pass) details were released today…fan or not, here are all the details of what will be available on Oct 19th. Please don’t shoot the messenger - I’m here to help demystify this latest Disney offering!

Genie + is a $15 per person per day fee to gain access to the new Lighting Lane for over 40 different attractions at all 4 parks. What’s not included are the most popular attractions- Rise of the Resistance; Space Mountain; Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to name a few.

Individual Lightning Lane can be purchased for up to 2 attractions per day at an additional cost which will vary from attraction to attraction and the day of the week. I’ve seen examples of this ranging anywhere from $7 - $15 per person per attraction.

From a cost perspective, a family of 4 could spend up to the following on a single day at the parks:
Genie +: $15 x 4 = $60
Individual LL: 2 attractions x $15 ea x 4 = $120
Total Genie + & Individual LL = $180 for the day

It is possible for me to add Genie + to your booking or you can purchase it directly on the My Disney Experience app while you’re at the park. Individual LL purchases must be done in the app on the day of your visit.

❤️💚 HOLIDAY NEWS: Disney has shared some of what we can look forward to this holiday season at Walt Disney World!

🏰 ‘Disney Very Merriest After Hours’ is taking the place of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The event will be held on select nights from Nov. 8th - Dec. 21st. The event will include ‘Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Disney Characters throughout the park, holiday music & décor, and of course, special holiday treats! Tickets go on sale next month.

🍫Holiday Gingerbread displays will return to select Disney Resort hotels along with festive holiday décor!

🍴Select restaurants will feature special holiday menus - more details to come!

🎄The Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll will return this year along with “magical snowfall” in Town Center, Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, sparkling lights, enchanted décor, and more!

🌐The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is returning from Nov. 26th to Dec. 30th and will include Holiday Kitchens, the Cookie Stroll, Voices of Liberty performances and more! No word yet on the Candlelight Processional.

🌳Festive Disney Character Flotillas will sail down Discovery River at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, the Tree of Life will transform into a holiday “Beacon of Magic,” and seasonal décor will be placed throughout the park.

❄️Sunset Seasons Greetings will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios including the Holiday Tower Hotel, a Santa Clause motorcade, festive vintage décor throughout the park, Minnie’s Holiday Dining at Hollywood & Vine, and more!

🎅🏻Stay tuned as Disney says there are more details still to be announced in the coming weeks!

Disney is revealing more magic coming to “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” beginning October 1st in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, including two new nighttime and one daytime spectacular. ✨🏰✨

Tickets for this hauntingly fun-filled three-hour event will go on sale June 15 .Walt Disney World Resort hotels can book their tickets as early as June 8. Tickets start at $129 – $139, plus tax for August/September nights and $159 – $169, plus tax for October nights, and $199, plus tax for Halloween. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can take advantage of a $10 discount for event nights in August and September. A limited number of tickets are available, so get yours soon!

Disney After Hours BOO BASH” will take place on select nights, Aug. 10 – Oct. 31, from 9 p.m. to midnight*. Spooky festivities will include Halloween-themed cavalcades, character sightings throughout the park, special performances by the Cadaver Dans, décor, lighting, music, treat stops with plenty of candy and so much more!

Tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
