Lorain 2025? Who is in? 😁
Myself and Lyle Behner are officially planning on going back to Lorain next season with the Special-Eyes 1 boat running Steelhead & Walleye combo trips for 1-6 person groups out of Oasis Marina (same location).
The 2 months we spent down there this season was absolutely incredible and can not wait to get back down there next year chasing after this acrobatic/ tackle busting silverfish along with the insane Walleye fishing that we experienced down there this year.
These are 100% hands on Trolling Trips and we are generally out for the entire day - 8 hours * 6am to 2pm dock to dock. Steelhead fishing is like salmon fishing in most cases and we cover a lot of water hunting them down, catching Walleye while we are on the hunt. Steelhead limits while we are running trips is 5 per person with a 12" minimum and Walleye are 6 per person with a 15" minimum. It is not uncommon to hook up with 30 steelhead on a single trip, getting them to the net is the challenge and fun part 😀
Call * Text * PM for any questions or to book your trip.
Trips in Lorain will start the week after the 4th of July next year and run through August 17th or 24th depending on intrest.

No board pic tonight and my idiot self forgot a cooler pic after getting caught up in a conversation with the crew before they took off. But what a great group of guys to fish with this evening all the way from Pennsylvania. These guys were already scheduled to fish this afternoon but we still held off until 3pm due to the High winds today.
The lake was most definitely tore up this evening from this mornings big blow but once we got a ways North of the can line the water was almost the perfect color and the Garmin just lit up with stacked fish 15 to 25 feet down in 30.2 FOW. We pulled bandits behind inline boards 80 to 120 back unassisted with 95 and 100 being our top producers @ 2.1 to 2.2 mph with anything pink and purple. As the evening went on the wind slowly picked up on us again building the waves to 4s and 5s with an occasional 6 footer (Mother Erie tried to kick us off). This evening was a one way troll only as the auto pilot would not hold the 299 at the speed needed going into them, I tried and it was a disaster 🤣, I wanted to turn around badly several times on active schools tonight but no buano as we would pick up 3 or 4 fish in 2 spots on the line we were working. We made one long 4.5 mile troll and picked up 9 fish on our first pass. Decided to pick up and make the run back up for another pass grinding them out up to 14 of there needed 30, ALMOST GOT HALF of them tonight. We lost 6 or 7 behind the boat and short strikes it was getting annoying. Talked about heading for the reefs to try there hand at the jig bite during the last hour of visible light but the crew opted to stick with the trolling program.
We did the best with what we were delt with trying to turn nothing into something. The guys were happy and we had a blast while out on the big pond. Thanks again fellas for Fishing with Special-Eyes Sportfishing, we really enjoyed your company. Good luck tomorrow fellas with Capt. CJ if your able to get out tomorrow.
FRICKEN WIND IS RIDICULOUS
