If you live in Ohio, then you are within only a couple hours of any number of Amish communities in Ohio. In the older well established areas, such as in the Holmes county Ohio and Pa areas- tourism has become a staple and leading industry and has become very populated with tourists, causing a lot of Amish to move away. But here in our neck of the woods everything is quite and laid back- everyone knows their neighbor and you will always pass a buggy or pony cart with friendly waving � members of our Amish friends. Amish Settlements are spreading to many different areas of the state. As they move into a community, the Amish bring along their quiet, simple lifestyle as well as their hard work ethic and quality of workmanship. This page will serve as the connection to help you find any Amish craftsmanship you are seeking, whether it be looking for a skilled contractor to do a new build, remodel or addition or fine quality furniture to the best baked goods for miles around. We can help you get in touch with those businesses. In the four county area, there are dozens of home based businesses from sewing & upholstery to general stores and bulk food stores that carry hard to find items. I-90 CLOSED for 125 miles from Ashtabula into western New York where over a dozen counties are under a State of Emergency due to heavy lake effect snow!

There are indications some sections may reopen late Saturday morning.

NY Man Charged with Manslaughter, DUI in Amish Youth's Crash Death ~
The driver who allegedly left an accident which killed a 17-year-old Amish boy - now faces 17 charges.

Sunday was a bad day for Amish buggies on the road. Two Amish children - a teen and a younger one - were killed in separate accidents, in Virginia, and New York. Another Bad Crash in Farmville, VA To start with Virginia, I'm not quite sure what is wrong with the drivers in the Farmville

America 🇺🇸 Votes today and that includes the Amish! Pa will be the make or break this election.

No matter how you vote- this election is different from any other in history- due to different groups of Amish have split up church districts and become “new order amish (along with Mennonite) and have for the first time came out to VOTE… I shared about this a few weeks ago but I wasn’t sure how much of a turnout it would actually be…. pay attention to Pa particularly as well as Michigan! You are watching history.

Edited to add- you are also seeing the young people who are 18 years of age but HAVE NOT JOINED THE CHURCH..coming out to vote! The age range for this group is generally 18-20 years old!

Wv, Ky, Mi & Pa! Amish Country locations are closer than you might think. If you live in Ohio, then you are within only a couple hours of any number of Amish communities in Ohio. In the older well established areas, tourism has become a staple and leading industry. Amish Settlements are spreading to many different areas of the state. As they move into a community, the Amish bring along their quiet, simple lifestyle as well as their hard work ethic and quality of workmanship. This page will serve as the connection to help you find any Amish craftsmanship you are seeking, whether it be looking for a skilled contractor to do a new build, remodel or addition or fine quality furniture to the best baked goods for miles around. With farming becoming less, the Amish have branched out into other non-traditional lines of work to help provide for their families and help support their communities. There is most likely a skilled Amish craftsman in just about any area you might need help with such as cabinetry (which is absolutely beautiful by the way) painting, plumbing, masonry and stone work, landscaping and greenhouses, farriers, seamstresses, quilt makers, custom bakers, mini barns and garage construction.. and the list goes on! We can help you get in touch with those businesses. In the three county area, there are dozens of home based businesses from sewing & upholstery to general stores, feed and animal care, salvage merchandise and groceries to bulk food stores that carry hard to find items.

Having lived closely with the Amish for over 10 years has allowed us the opportunity to get to know the lifestyle and get an inside look that most will never be allowed the privilege to see. For that we are grateful!

We have been everything from a taxi driver , babysitter, to driving the laboring moms to the midwife and have even helped deliver a few precious faces! This experience allows us to share with the outside world a lifestyle that is quickly disappearing !

We are currently working with Amish women to compile a unique cookbook comprised of only handwritten family recipes that have been handed down through generations! You will not find this on Ebay or Amazon!
