Good evening. Anticipate deteriorating conditions tomorrow due to an advancing low-pressure system along the coast. Expect gusty winds (occasional >50mph), 2.5+ inches of rain, isolated flooding, beach erosion, high surf, 2-3 ft. storm surge, thunderstorms, and isolated tornadoes. Stay vigilant for waterspouts potentially moving onshore. Remember, these are possibilities, not certainties. Please stay weather-aware throughout tomorrow and we will continue to provide updates as we receive them. We appreciate everyone who follow BrunsCo, NC Storm Watch.

It’s officially the “off season” and e-bikes are allowed on the beach! If you do ride your bike on the beach we recommend you spray it down afterwards to remove any sand and wipe with a dry towel. And enjoy! 🚲⚡️

Hurricane Lee is still creating long period swell, with larger waves and stronger wave energy, causing LIFE THREATENING RIP CURRENTS.

Please treat today’s surf as if we are flying the red flag and stay out of the water.

Enjoy the sand and sun, but stay out of the surf.

It’s almost Bonfire Season!

It’s almost Bonfire Season!

It’s the time of year I start getting a ton of beach bonfire requests. We have not opened our schedule for bonfire season yet. I anticipate releasing it the first week of November. We will announce it on social media when we open it. Fire season officially start’s November 16th and will go through April 30th. Things I do know…. We will operate on a very lean schedule again this year. If I had to make a guess we will open Thanksgiving weekend and not again until New years. Our kid’s schedules make fire season pretty tricky. We will probably not open February at all. If we do it will be last minute. We are learning after a couple years that the wind doesn’t cooperate In February. We are looking forward to fire season and seeing some familiar faces!!!

Today is looking like a nice beach day with one foot surf and a low rip current risk. Two foot surf tomorrow with a low rip risk. Sunday’s rip current risk is still to be determined.

Monday through Friday we will have an elevated rip current risk due to Hurricane Lee. We will see several dangerous red flag days midweek.

❌❌❌If you are coming to the beach next week, make plans that do not include getting wet in the ocean.

Highly recommend this place!
