With a degree from Columbia in fashion design specializing in custom dress making, I have been sewing 15 years with experience in creating one of a kind items for all occasions. 9•1•24 Jenny married at Konow’s Farm. This being her second marriage she wanted a dress that was fun and fit the rustic vibe of her wedding. Cutting her train was key for her to have a simpler look, so a bustle was not needed.

9•13•24 Colleen married at the Bridgeport Art Center on what was the busiest wedding weekend this fall. An all around happy, easy going, laid back bride that was marrying into one of the best families. Happy to be able to get to work with them for another family wedding.

Julia married on 10•19•24 in Cancun. She wanted to transform her mom’s wedding dress to a cocktail dress for her welcome party. And she wanted to do it without her mom knowing. I removed the mesh neckline and p**f sleeves, added some structure, hemmed and made the sleeves into “half sleeves”. Her mom was so surprised when she came out.
Very honored to help get create this dress and do the altering of her wedding dress

How incredible to have wedding dresses from all the amazing women in your family.
Clare married this past weekend and had me make purses for each of her grandmas out of their wedding dresses and then a purse for her with a little of each grandma’s dress plus her mom’s dress. I also made hanky’s to be passed out to other family members from each dress.

9•15•24 Margaret traveled from Evanston, an hour away, to see me for each fitting. She purchased a sample dress in a size that was extremely large on her with a ton of detail. After 4 fittings, it was her perfect size. Thank you for choosing me and traveling to see me.

I’ve waited for months to be able to share this wedding dress from June 29th. Dana wanted to wear her Nona’s wedding dress from 1955. It did not quite fit and at the time of wedding she was 8 months post-partum. We began this project 5 months prior to wedding. Dana and her mom were the best team to work with. We made so many decisions together yet they gave me my space to do what I do best. We created something so special and she felt her Nonas presence on her special day. I also made a getting ready robe for Dana from her mom’s wedding dress.
🧵We first added fabric to the sides to allow the dress to fit properly.
🧵We tailored it back in to Dana’s perfect fit.
🧵We removed the original skirt and replaced it with a new skirt made of a beautiful silk.
🧵Added a new lace sleeve and moved the buttons from the old dress to the new dress.

She was like no, you need the showcase your wedding gown alterations because I think people will think it’s so cool to see. I know nothing about tik tok!!! So she did this video over the course of a few hours of hemming a wedding dress ! Shortened it to Showcase in 3 minutes ! I must say it’s pretty cool! Enjoy !!!
