🌊 Embracing the wonders of nature at Wachlella Falls! 🌿
As educators, we're always seeking inspiration in unexpected places. In fact, we've found that some of the best lessons happen beyond four walls. So what can you learn from a waterfall?
🕰️ Historical Insights: Wachlella Falls sits within the traditional lands of the Chinook and Wasco peoples, who have revered these cascades for generations. Their stories and traditions remind us of the deep connections between land, culture, and history.
🔬 Scientific Wonder: The power of waterfalls to carve through rock illustrates geological processes in action. It's a living classroom for understanding erosion, hydrology, and the Earth's dynamic forces.
🎬 Pop Culture Connection: Iconic movie scenes have been set against these cascading waters, such as Homeward Bound. Visiting Wachlella Falls sparks imagination and evokes cinematic adventures. It's a perfect backdrop for creativity and storytelling.
🌱 Social-Emotional Learning: Nature's tranquility at the falls fosters reflection and mindfulness. It's a serene setting to recharge, promoting well-being and emotional resilience.

Despite what most people tell you, winter can be FUN! Dont just slide your way through winter waiting for those coveted summer months. In fact, 77% of Americans travel during the summer months, when the weather locally is typically at it's best- WHY 🤯
Book a snow-cation and embrace the fluffy white stuff or if you need a break from the cold (we hear you 🥶) head towards the equator and save those summer months to explore locally.

Each day, millions (yes, MILLIONS!) of gallons of water flows from the underground Florida aquifer system to the surface creating over 1,000 freshwater springs throughout the state.
These crystal clear waters supply over 90% of the drinking water in Florida, provide critical habitat for wildlife and have inspired tales of the fountain of youth and other local folklore.
Today these springs are enjoyed by paddlers, anglers, divers, and more. Unfortunately, these #naturalspaces are at risk of harmful nutrient runoff , water extraction (ehmm ditch the @nestleusa) and development.
Visit these springs through #sustainabletourism and learn more about protecting these imperiled landscapes for future generations!
The last international trip we guided was almost 9 months ago during the first week of March 2020. We had 8 university students experiencing Peru, actually South America, for the very first time.
Two weeks after experiencing one of the greatest wonders of the world, trekking through the Andes and meandering along the vibrant streets of Cusco, we would return to a changed world.
It's hard to say for sure, but we can only hope that the challenges they faced while overcoming this 16,000 ft pass would unknowingly prepare them for the hurdles ahead in 2020.
It is just now that select portions of the world are beginning to reopen to travelers, with Peru being one of them. As we begin to offer international travel again, know that we are incredibly grateful for those that have traveled locally with us and we are taking all of the precautions to keep our travelers safe.
If you're interested in having something to look forward to in 2021, contact us to discuss travel options both throughout the US and abroad.
