By the end of 2023, Saudi Arabia plans to open the Red Sea International Airport.
Located in the Tabuk region, it's part of a large project to develop Red Sea tourism. The project also includes plans to build hotels, marinas, and more.
The airport's design was inspired by the desert dunes. In keeping with that theme, it will contain its very own oasis, capable of producing a microclimate within the terminal. Hopefully that doesn't create any monsoons – 80% of the world's population will be able to reach this future hub in under eight hours, and no one likes a wet travel pillow.
